Not only home to world’s largest cuckoo clock, Triberg is also famous for its waterfalls, the ‘highest’ in Germany. The Gutach River flows into multiple cascades and is one of the most popular attractions of the Black Forest.
An the afternoon, we will visit a local baker, who will demonstrate how to make the famously delicious Black Forest Gateau.
You will be taught the tricks and techniques to recreate the authentic dessert when you’re back home – what a tasty reminder of your trip! Of course, no visit would be complete without a slice of the famous cake, so join us as we tuck in to the delicious treat washed down with a coffee.

The name, Sauschwänzlebahn, literally meaning pigtail, is derived from the course of the rail track, built between 1887 and 1890, that was necessary to keep the gradient of the line below 1%. Depending on the day, the wagons will either be pulled by a diesel or steam engine.
The journey takes around an hour to Weizen. We head to the pretty lakeside village of Titisee-Neustadt for an included light lunch.
This afternoon, we visit the popular Rothaus brewery, one of Germany’s most successful breweries, and its most popular beer is ‘Zäpfle’. A local guide will take us on a tour through the brewery followed by a tasting.

The city of miniature streams and cobble-stone streets, Freiburg is home to many famous sites including the spectacular Minster, with its 116 metre tall tower, and the old and new town halls.
Visitors to Freiburg may be fascinated to see the ‘Bächle’, or miniature canals, which were once used to supply water for drinking, fighting fires and industrial uses.
It is said that those who dip their feet into the miniature canals will visit Freiburg again, so why not enjoy a paddle whilst you're there?

Famous for its thermal baths, this beautiful city boasts a relaxed atmosphere and a sea of greenery in its parks and gardens. Along with many elegant boutiques and individual shops, Baden-Baden is also home to the ‘most beautiful casino in the world’, according to German actress, Marlene Dietrich.
