Operations Manager

Leger Holidays are a leading provider of escorted holidays across Europe and worldwide by luxury coach, air, rail & cruise.

We have an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded individual to strengthen our senior management team. Reporting to the Board in a key role you will be responsible for leading the Operations team in all aspects of the company’s coach operations. In addition the ability to maintain and develop supplier relationships which are fundamental to the business are key elements of the role.

You will review and ensure that correct procedures are in place to operate vehicles in a safe, legal, efficient and cost effective manner. Developing operational procedures, technological advancement and systems to ensure maximum productivity within the department and across the business all form part of the remit.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the Board on operational performance and strategic goals
  • All aspects of operational activities from day-to-day to forward strategic planning
  • Lead an experienced dedicated team including offsite personnel and sub-contractors
  • Manage operational vehicle resources, key supplier relationships, procurement and efficiency whilst protecting and promoting high standards
  • Ensure and enhance customer satisfaction throughout the tour experience
  • Assess operational capabilities and develop plans to improve service delivery in line with business and client requirements
  • Review operational financial information and budgets
  • Overseeing health and safety, crisis management and business continuity

Requirements:

  • Logistic or operational travel background would be preferential
  • You must have a commercial outlook with excellent organisational and leadership abilities
  • A track record of commercial achievement through planning, driving and controlling change, and securing efficiencies by operational improvement
  • Forward thinking, analytical and able to develop and deliver KPI`s, review budgets and manage cost
  • Inspirational, approachable and personable
  • Outstanding communication and people skills
  • Able to resolve operational in-resort challenges
  • Develop and improve an efficient vehicle routing strategy using modern technology
  • Be able to develop the role and work across functions in order to achieve best business outcomes

Salary and benefits will be commensurate to this senior role and applicable experience.
