Over the years many renowned painters and writers have been attracted to pretty Honfleur, which with its narrow, half-timbered houses, cobblestone streets and charming old harbour set in a sheltered cove off the Seine’s tidal estuary, is simply enchanting. Unlike many of its Normandy neighbours, Honfleur was spared during the bombing of World War Two and nestled in its tidy, picturesque streets historic buildings house art galleries, artists’ studios, boutiques, restaurants, cafes and fine souvenir shops.

Situated on the shores of the deep Cromarty Firth and with a fine natural harbour, Invergordon is a key port with an important naval history stretching back through two World Wars.
The small, yet modern town is a charming coastal gateway to the beautiful Scottish Highlands and the incredible scenery that forms a stunning backdrop to the romantic castles and historic battlefields featuring in optional excursions along with the ‘Capital of the Highlands’, Inverness.

The capital of the amazing Orkney archipelago, the Royal Burgh of Kirkwall sits almost exactly in the centre of Mainland, dividing the island into East and West.
The magnificent St. Magnus Cathedral, a legacy of the town’s rich Viking heritage, dominates Kirkwall’s skyline. In its shadow, the town is a cluster of grey stone buildings lining narrow, flagstone streets.
Excursions explore these beautiful islands whose history can be traced back some 6,000 years through Neolithic standing stones and the magnificent archaeological site of Skara Brae. Modern day Orkney is a hive of creative activity and its craft workshops are perfect for a special souvenir.

Set around its picturesque natural harbour and fringed by high ground and cliffs, charming Portree is the main town on the beautiful Isle of Skye. The impact of Skye’s stunning scenery is spectacular.
The soaring peaks of the Cuilins, undulating heather moorland, small lochs and gently flowing streams form a wonderful backdrop to optional excursions featuring crofting villages, and iconic castles with both colourful and poignant history. On the outskirts of Portree, the Skye Heritage Centre and Aros Experience bring to life the history of the island and give an insight into the life these Highland communities lived.

Established in the late 18th century as a fishing port, Tobermory is one of the prettiest ports in Scotland.The picture-postcard village has a large natural harbour where colourful boats bob on the waves watched over by a rainbow of bright painted buildings backed by woodland-fringed hills.
Tobermory is the capital of the Isle of Mull, the second largest island of the Inner Hebrides. Its diverse landscape ranges from high mountain and wild moorland, to wave-lashed sea cliffs and sandy beaches.
Neighbouring Iona is the tiny island where St. Columba first brought Christianity to Scotland in 563 AD.

If you prefer, then you can join the tour at the hotel. To do this, we will require a copy of your passport for identification purposes and you must advise us at the time of booking.
No reduction will be given if you should choose to do this.
We are unable to guarantee that the hotel will be able to meet your dietary requirements. We find that the majority of European countries do not generally cater for vegetarians and that the meal supplied may well be what everyone else is having minus the meat.
We will of course endeavour to arrange for a vegetarian meal at the hotel. We do however suggest that you advise us of your dietary requests at the time of booking and recommend that you speak to the receptionist on arrival with regard to your request.

Your cabin is the perfect place to unwind after a busy day sightseeing ashore and your cabin steward will ensure that you enjoy a high degree of comfort and service, whichever grade of accommodation you decide best suits your holiday requirements. A high priority is placed on your comfort, with hanging and storage space and a designated steward service twice daily, including a nightly turndown service. All cabins offer twin lower beds, bathroom with shower, T.V., telephone, hairdryer, music console, safe, air conditioning and complimentary pool towel.

Front row seats can be reserved for £15pp (up to 6 days' duration), £24pp (7 & 8 days' duration), £26pp (9, 10 and 11 days' duration) and £30pp (12 days' duration and over) on all European tours. This offer is only available for bookings of two or four persons on the front row and is subject to availability. In addition to this, seats on the second row can be reserved for £8pp (up to 6 days duration), £15pp (7 & 8 days duration), £18pp (9, 10 and 11 days' duration) and £22pp (12 days' duration and over). Guaranteed front/second row seats cannot be reserved on transfer journeys to/from the interchange. Children under 15 years cannot occupy a front row seat due to French Law. Central view seats are free.
Please note: On some coaches the legroom on front seats may be slightly less than that available on other seats due to the presence of a modesty board in front.
If your tour is cancelled for any reason and front/second row seats are not available on your new tour, you will be refunded the supplement. No other compensation will be payable.
Alternatively, we can take seating requests on your booking. However, requests are not guaranteed. All seat numbers are confirmed on travel documents approximately 7-10 days prior to departure.
Transfer coaches are routed approximately 2-3 weeks before departure. The route taken depends on where paassengers are booked to travel from on any particular date as to which route is taken. If you require further detailed information regarding the route to the port you can contact our Customer Service Department on 01709 830333 two weeks before you are due to travel.
With regard to the route taken by the main tour coach, this is determined by the driver.

The cost is from £40 per booking each way for up to four people per booking.
