About the tour: America's Great Eastern Cities

Join us on a journey of discovery through the mighty eastern cities of the USA. From New York to Philadelphia, you’ll experience some of the finest and most famous parts of America. Enjoy a spot of sightseeing in the ‘Big Apple’ before moving on to the world-famous Niagara Falls with its three thunderous waterfalls, spanning across the border between Canada and the United States. Explore the fascinating locations around Amish Country. Pennsylvania Dutch Country, as it is formally known, is America’s oldest Amish settlement where thousands still live a ‘plain life’. You’ll also discover the impressive American capital, Washington, D.C., home to the White House, the U.S. Capitol Building and a whole host of spectacular monuments and museums. Before heading back to New York, you’ll complete your eastern journey by visiting Philadelphia, the birthplace of American independence. Visit the Independence Hall, Liberty Bell and, of course, you’ll have plenty of time to tantalise your taste buds with an authentic Philly Cheesesteak sandwich, a local delicacy that it’s said is rarely perfected outside of its founding city. This fascinating escorted tour is a true once-in-a-lifetime experience and is certainly one not to miss!

The Battle of Gettysburg, fought between the 1st and 3rd of July, 1863, is often described as the turning point of the Civil War, despite suffering the largest number of casualties of the War. It was here where Abraham Lincoln delivered the ‘greatest speech in the world’. Just 273 words long, the speech set out the fundamental principles of the Declaration of Independence, “a government of the people, by the people, for the people.”
