Today we visit Castle Howard, Yorkshire’s finest historic house and gardens with 300 years of history.

Set in 1000 acres of parkland with formal gardens, lakeside terraces and woodland to explore, admire the awe-inspiring architecture and world-renowned collections, and uncover more about the rich history of the Howard family and the estate. As one of Britain's grandest stately homes and the largest house in Yorkshire, the house has featured on screen and is well known as the filming location of Brideshead Revisted.

We also call at charming Helmsley, which is the only market town in the North York Moors National Park.

We return to Scarborough via the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors.
