Itinerary

Please choose your preferred 9 day itinerary

Door-to-Door or local departure, then by coach overnight towards Italy.

Continue into Italy to Bassano del Grappa, where we will stay for the next six nights. The rest of the day is at leisure, so why not take time to enjoy the hotel and the surrounding area?

Includes Dinner

We head to Caorle, just along the coast from Venice, known for its beach and the natural landscape that surrounds the town. The centre of Caorle was formerly made up of three small islands joined together by four bridges – there were no roads, only navigable canals, which fishermen's houses looked out onto. These houses have been brought back to life with the trademark colours of the Venetian tradition.

The second half of our excursion visits picturesque Treviso, with its compact walled centre and narrow cobbled streets criss-crossed by waterways. Here, you can explore the Piazza dei Signori with its impressive buildings.

Spectacular sightseeing on a grand scale awaits us on today's included excursion, as we traverse the towering Dolomite region and journey to Cortina d'Ampezzo. Cortina d'Ampezzo is one of the premier resorts in the Italian Dolomites and is known as the "Pearl of the Dolomites". The town and surrounding mountains have been featured in a number of films.

As the capital of the Trento region, the city of Trento is rooted in art and history. Enjoy some free time to explore this treasure trove of architecture, to discover the market square and fountains, or to enter the historic cathedral.

Our day also visits Levico Terme on Lake Levico. Located directly on the lakeshore, this charming spa town offers a piece of the past around every corner. Mineral-rich water running down from the mountain is still used to treat all sorts of medical conditions today, which turned this rustic alpine village into a holiday hot spot during the 1800s. The Austrian royal family even had a palace here.

Join our included excursion to the 'floating city' of Venice. Venice is renowned for its beauty, architecture and its artwork. It is the world’s only pedestrian city, which makes it easy to explore on foot. Be sure to see some of the famous sights such as the Doge’s Palace, the symbolic seat of Venetian power and the enclosed Bridge of Sighs. A visit to St. Mark’s Square, the principal public square of Venice, is also a must. It is dominated at its eastern end by the magnificent St. Mark’s Basilica, a superb example of the Romanesque-Byzantine style. Maybe sit back and relax at Harry’s Bar with one of their famous Bellini cocktails, the choice is yours.

To make the most of your visit, why not join an optional Venice lagoon cruise and view St. Mark’s Square and several of the small islands?
