See the spectacular spot where the borders of Germany, Holland and Belgium meet at Drielandenpunt and enjoy time in the German town of Aachen. Why not also join us on a trip to charming town of Monschau, tucked into the Eifel mountain range landscape, or opt for a full-day excursion to the Rhine Valley, as we visit the lovely towns of Boppard and pass fairy tale castles and picturesque villages. Local departure by coach or Door-to-Door service, then to Valkenburg for a six-night stay.
Day at leisure to relax and explore Valkenburg’s quaint cobbled streets and pretty buildings. Situated at the crossroads of three countries, Valkenburg has long been a favourite destination on account of its exuberance and extremely varied appeal. Valkenburg, or the 'Marlstone Town' as it is known locally, is famous for its castle and the elaborate system of Roman caves and tunnels that run beneath the town. Explore the quaint cobbled streets and beautiful buildings of this enchanting fortified town, or alternatively, relax with a glass of the local white beer.

Our optional excursion takes us to the majestic Rhine Valley. Famous for its picture-postcard villages, fairy tale castles and vineyards, there is no wonder that the area is considered by many to offer the most picturesque scenery in Germany. We visit the quaint Rhineland town of Boppard, which was once a Roman fort. Enjoy time at leisure in this pretty town to explore or amble along the promenade. During the day, an optional River Rhine lunch cruise will be available. We cruise through the Rhine gorge, famous for its ancient castles, picturesque villages and vine-clad slopes, and enjoy lunch on board ship.

Today we travel to the Drielandenpunt (Three Country Point), near to the town of Vaals and where the borders of Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands all meet. There will be a short amount of time here to take photos before we continue into Germany to the nearby city of Aachen. Aachen is famous for its magnificent cathedral and the Elisenbrunnen fountain, which is also the symbol of the town. There will be free time here for you to explore before returning to the hotel in time for your evening meal.

Enjoy a relaxing day in the town of Valkenburg or join our morning optional visit to the charming little town of Monschau, tucked into the hilly landscape of the Eifel mountain range.
