Twixmas Cruising the Rhine & Moselle
After the excitement of Christmas, relax on this Twixmas break by coach and join us as we board the MS Rhine Princess and take a cruise along Germany’s most famous river. We are welcomed aboard in Andernach and then set sail upstream for Koblenz. En-route we moor in Alken, from where we travel by coach to Cochem. Known as the 'pearl of the Moselle', this picturesque town is overlooked by the magnificent Reichsburg Castle. On this delightful short break, we also spend time in the German city of Cologne. The 2000-year old city is the capital of the Rhineland and features some amazing architecture, be sure to visit the Dom with its twin spires, and spend time in the Old Town where you can indulge in some local delicacies, all making for tremendous Twixmas holiday!

Today, we cruise upstream towards the city of Koblenz, where we join the Moselle River - a more tranquil river valley in contrast to the vibrant Rhine. We moor in Alken and then include an excursion by coach to Cochem, the 'pearl of the Moselle', a picturesque town with narrow cobbled streets, twisting alleys and restored half-timbered houses with slate roofs, overlooked by the magnificent Reichsburg Castle. We re-join the ship in Koblenz.

We cruise north from Koblenz to Cologne, where you can explore the delights of the capital of the Rhineland. Cologne is a joy to visit, with its endless shops and restaurants. Relax in one of the cosy bars in the Old Town, spend time around the cathedral and historic centre and enjoy some of the local delicacies. Later this afternoon, we head to our overnight hotel in Belgium.

Accommodation
You will spend two nights on board the 3-star MS Rhine Princess, a firm favourite with Leger guests and exclusively chartered by Leger. Facilities include a lounge bar with small dance floor, restaurant on the middle deck and a small, quiet lounge with library. There is also an outside sundeck, ideal for viewing the passing scenery. All cabins have twin beds, climate control, en suite facilities and portholes. Cabins are located on three decks and all have twin beds and ensuite facilities. The ship has a restaurant and shop with small gifts, souvenirs, postcards and Rhine river maps for sale. Your overnight stay in Belgium will be in a city-style hotel.Got a question about
