Turkey and Tinsel in the Lake District

Today's included tour of the Lake District takes you to Patterdale, on Lake Ullswater, and then across the spectacular Kirkstone Pass to later reach Lake Windermere and the resort of Bowness-on-Windermere. Here, you may wish to do an optional lake cruise. Conclude your day with a visit to the historic market town of Kendal.

Your included excursion takes you to explore the northern Lake District, beginning with a visit to the pretty town of Keswick, sandwiched between Derwent Water and towering Skiddaw. Then continue south, through spectacular mountain scenery, past Lake Thirlmere, overlooked by Helvellyn, to Grasmere on the lake of the same name and long a favourite of Wordsworth. Make a short stop at Rydal, on Rydal Water. Finish the day in Ambleside, at the head of Lake Windermere, where a short walk takes you to the lakeside at Waterhead.

Leave your hotel after breakfast and return to your original joining point.
