Itinerary
Please choose your preferred 6 day itinerary
Make your own way to London St. Pancras International where you will meet your friendly Tour Manager and board the Eurostar to Paris. We then continue by high-speed rail to Strasbourg. On arrival, you’ll be transferred by coach to your hotel where we enjoy a welcome drink before dinner.

After breakfast, we board our coach to the small town of Villingen. Here, there's time to stroll and maybe enjoy a morning coffee before we continue by coach to Freiburg. As we arrive in Freiburg, we will first enjoy a guided city tour and then have free time to see all the highlights before the coach takes us back to the hotel for dinner.

Today we will head by coach to Strasbourg where we will be welcomed by our local city guide who will show us the most beautiful places of the city. Stroll through the UNESCO-listed Grande Île, marvel at the intricate architecture of Strasbourg Cathedral, and explore the charming Petite France district with its half-timbered houses and tranquil canals.
Following this, we continue by coach to Eble Uhren-Park for a guided visit of the world's biggest cuckoo clock. Here, you learn about the rich tradition of Black Forest clockmaking, admire an impressive collection of handcrafted cuckoo clocks, and have time to browse the showroom for unique souvenirs. Afterwards, we return to the hotel for dinner.

Today we travel by coach over the border to the enchanting Alsace region of France and to the pretty town of Colmar where we will enjoy a guided walking tour. The centre of Colmar sits on the Lauch River and was the last town in France to be freed after the Second World War. Today Colmar is one of the prettiest towns in the Alsace, with half-timbered and brightly coloured houses sitting on cobbled lanes and a picturesque canal quarter.
Later, we continue to the small, picturesque town of Riquewihr which is known for its exquisite Alsatian wines and picturesque half-timbered houses. The town's rich history and winemaking tradition add to the charm, ensuring a special experience for visitors. Here, we enjoy a delectable lunch and wine tasting before we have some free time to explore. We return to the hotel by coach later this afternoon.

After breakfast we travel by coach through the Black Forest and take a scenic cable car ride up Schauinsland, where sweeping views of the Rhine Valley and distant Alps open up before you. Stroll along mountain trails or climb the lookout tower for an unforgettable panorama. Savour a traditional Alsatian "Flammkuchen" as you take in the view above the clouds.
In the afternoon, we head to beautiful Lake Titisee, where we visit the cuckoo clock shop. Later, a peaceful boat ride glides across the crystal-clear waters before some free time to unwind along the lakeside promenade. We return to the hotel by coach for our final evening.

After breakfast, we transfer to Strasbourg for our return journey by high-speed rail and Eurostar to London St. Pancras International. After arriving in London, you will make your own way home.

The 4-star Hotel Hofgut Sternen is located at the entrance of the impressive Ravenna Gorge, amid unspoiled nature and the picturesque landscape of the Black Forest. The hotel is a place full of history and charm: Marie-Antoinette stayed here on her way to Paris, and Goethe was also a guest here. Bedrooms are spacious and decorated in a variety of styles, perfectly in keeping with the history of the hotel. The Hofgut Sternen has a cosy restaurant with a sun terrace where you can enjoy regional specialties. In addition, a sunny beer garden and a bar in the vaulted cellar invite you to relax at the end of the day in a relaxed atmosphere. On the hotel grounds there is a unique glassblowing workshop where you can watch the glassblowers at work, a craft shop where you can see how traditional cuckoo clocks are made and the St. Oswald Chapel, one of the oldest chapels in the Upper Black Forest.
