Today, we enjoy a guided coach and walking tour through Dresden’s historic old town. You will see, hear and experience a wealth of history and anecdotes linked to Dresden’s famous attractions: the Zwinger Palace; the world-renowned Semper Opera House; the Catholic Hofkirche; Dresden Castle; and the Taschenberg Palace. The 'Procession of Princes' (the longest porcelain image in the world), the Brühl Terrace (known locally as the 'Balcony of Europe') and the Frauenkirche (the Church of Our Lady) are also included in the route.
Afterwards, enjoy some time at leisure in Dresden before returning to the hotel to enjoy the New Year's Eve dinner which will be served buffet-style and includes a glass of Champagne. Music will then be played in the common areas for anyone who wants to dance in the New Year.

This morning, enjoy some time at leisure in the hotel.
In the afternoon, we head to Schloss Wackerbarth, a Baroque palace and garden complex. Built at the foot of the Radebeul vineyards, it has shaped the landscape and the lives of the people here for more than 850 years. We begin with some light lunch at the Palace before we enjoy a guided wine tour and tasting.

Join our included excursion as we travel to Radebeul for a train ride to the Radeburg. Travelling on the Lößnitzgrundbahn narrow-gauge steam railway, we head through the pretty scenery passing vineyards, forests and ponds.
This afternoon, why not join our optional excursion to Moritzburg Castle? We will see the impressive Baroque palace, one of the finest castles of its kind. This 15th-century hunting lodge was converted and expanded by Augustus the Strong in the early 1700s, turning it into the remarkable palace you will see today.
