Itinerary

Fly overnight to Cochin Airport in Kochi.
Upon arrival in Kochi you will be met and transferred to your hotel where you will stay for two nights. The rest of the day is at leisure in Kochi.
Today we will visit some of the highlights of this captivating port, taking in its myriad of styles and influences. View the remarkable cantilevered Chinese fishing nets, explore the 16th century Portuguese built Mattancherry Palace and Church of St. Francis, and discover the oldest living Jewish synagogue in the world. Enjoy a walk through Fort Kochi, a region that still retains its old world charm with European style quarters.
Later, visit the Kathakali dance studio for a traditional dance performance. The striking feature of this dance form is the elaborate face make-up and costumes.

For centuries, Kerala has grown and imported spices around the world. Enjoy a walking tour which allows you to gain a first-hand experience of the cultivation, growth and processing of these spices.
This afternoon, enjoy a Green Walk (weather permitting) with a forest guide, exploring the flora and fauna of this region. With many species of birds spotted here, it is an ornithologist's paradise!

Today we drive to the placid backwater region of Kerala for a two night stay. The backwater houses a variety of species of both flora and fauna. Rightly called the 'Venice of the East,' this verdant area is surrounded by coconut plantations and is famous for its narrow maze of canals and backwaters.
