Local departure by coach or Door-to-Door service, then to Belgium for a two night stay.
Join our included excursion, as we spend the morning in Gent. This afternoon, we head to Bruges with its canals, cobbled streets and shops selling the famous Belgian chocolate on almost every corner. The historic centre of Bruges is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a joy to explore.

We head to Arnhem, to join our cruise ship for our five-night cruise.

Cruise through Holland and into Germany to Dusseldorf. Spend the afternoon exploring this historic city on the banks of the Rhine.

We cruise upstream past Bonn to Konigswinter. Spend time exploring the town or enjoy a stroll along the Rhine promenade. Alternatively, you may wish to join our optional excursion to Koblenz, which boasts a magnificent location at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle. Enjoy a stroll around the Deutsches Eck.

We continue our cruise to the quintessential Rhine town of Andernach. At around 5.00pm, we sail in convoy, as part of the flotilla, towards Bonn and witness the amazing fireworks display. We moor overnight in Bonn, arriving in the early hours.

We cruise from Bonn to Cologne, arriving around lunch time. You will have free time to explore the city, known as the capital of the Rhineland. While in Cologne why not explore and have a look at some of the stunning attractions such as Cologne Cathedral which is a Gothic style church that they started building in 1248 but didn't fully completed till 1880, or the Cologne City Hall which was once a medieval house still used today for official business and the relaxing water front and bridges which has helped build Cologne through the ages to the city we know today. You may wish to relax in one of the many beer halls, enjoying the local Kölsch beer.

Accommodation
You will spend five nights aboard the 3-star MV Esmeralda. Cabin accommodation is on two decks: main and promenade. There is a lounge with bar, restaurant and sun deck. All cabins have twin beds, en suite facilities with shower, picture window and a safe. MV Esmeralda has a lift between the main deck and the promenade deck, and a stair lift between the promenade deck and the sun deck.
You will stay for two nights at the Holiday Inn Ghent Expo.
