Local departure by coach, then to Cologne to join the MS Serenity for our four-night cruise.

We begin our cruise upstream through the spectacular Rhine Gorge, stopping at the pretty town of Rüdesheim. You can visit the Drosselgasse, a narrow cobblestone street which is the cultural heart of Rüdesheim or join our optional excursion which includes a visit to the wonderful Mechanical Music Museum of Siegfried.

New Year’s Eve starts with us cruising back down the Rhine Gorge to Koblenz. You are free to explore the quaint lanes and atmospheric squares which are filled with ancient buildings. Be sure to pack your glad rags for tonight’s highlight, our wonderful New Year’s Eve gala dinner and party night onboard, and enjoy the festive atmosphere in Koblenz.

Enjoy a leisurely morning onboard our ship as we cruise to our final destination, Cologne. This beautiful city is the largest on the Rhine and is dominated by its cathedral, a gothic masterpiece which hovers above the rooftops. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a New Year’s Day stroll, taking in the historic centre and the riverbanks with the iconic Hohenzollern Bridge.
