Menin Gate Centenary
The Menin Gate in Ypres, Belgium, is a vast memorial arch built to honour more than 54,000 British and Commonwealth soldiers who died in the Ypres Salient during the First World War and have no known grave. The Menin Gate centenary takes place in July 2027, marking a hundred years since the memorial was unveiled by Lord Plumer and a large crowd of those who had family members commemorated on this Memorial to the Missing. Join us on a special tour to commemorate the centenary and visit some key battlefield sites in Flanders.

Itinerary

Local departure by coach or Door-to-Door service, then to our hotel in Belgium or northern France for a three-night stay.
The centenary of the Menin Gate is Saturday 24th July 2027, and at this stage no details of ceremonies or events have been announced, but during the course of the weekend we will attend local events and ceremonies (subject to special arrangements), as well as visit key battlefield sites like Hill 60, Hooge Crater Museum, the Messines Ridge and Tyne Cot Cemetery.
