To make the most of your visit, why not join our optional guided walking tour? Accompanied by our local guide, we see sights such the magnificent Gothic-style Duomo Cathedral, the seat of the Archbishop of Milan. We also see the Galleria, a covered double arcade connecting Piazza del Duomo to Piazza della Scala. Finally, we conclude our sightseeing tour with a visit to La Scala Theatre, one of the world’s most famous opera houses (entrance included).

Today we experience the beauty of Lake Maggiore with a memorable excursion to the elegant resort town of Stresa and the enchanting Borromean Islands.
A short boat journey takes you out onto the tranquil waters of the lake to discover the famous Borromean Islands, as well as the picturesque Isola dei Pescatori. Its narrow cobbled streets, traditional houses, and charming waterfront create a wonderfully authentic atmosphere, offering a glimpse into the island’s long fishing heritage.
We also enjoy a visit to Stresa, a charming lakeside town known for its refined atmosphere, and scenic promenade. Once a favourite retreat of European aristocracy, Stresa still retains its old-world charm, with grand hotels, colourful gardens and inviting cafés on offer. You will have time to stroll around the historical centre and enjoy the relaxed elegance of this beautiful resort.

Smaller and quieter than its neighbouring lakes, Lake Orta is known for its romantic atmosphere, charming villages and stunning natural scenery. We visit the delightful town of Orta San Giulio, a picturesque lakeside village with narrow cobbled streets, elegant historic buildings, and inviting cafés overlooking the water.
A short boat ride brings you to the tiny island of San Giulio, which sits peacefully at the centre of the lake. Dominated by its ancient basilica and surrounded by historic buildings, the island has a quiet, spiritual character.
