From our base at the elegant Leigh Park Country House Hotel we head to charming Bath, a UNESCO World Heritage Site brimming with historic sights such as the Roman Baths and Pulteney Bridge. We also discover medieval Salisbury – which boasts Britain’s tallest spire – before tasting traditional wares and local tipples on a tour of Wadworth Brewery. With a wine tasting experience back at the hotel, this tour is packed with treats for all the senses!

Local departure by coach or Door-to-Door service then on to Bradford-on-Avon and the fantastic Leigh Park Country House Hotel.

Today, enjoy our included excursion to Bath. You will have the opportunity to explore the most renowned parts of the ancient city, which are conveniently concentrated in the centre. These include the historic Roman Baths and Pump Room, the architectural splendour of Royal Crescent, and Pulteney Bridge over the Avon. See the majestic Abbey where Edgar was crowned King of all England in 973 AD. There are also riverside walks, a fine selection of shops and a good choice of cafés for your morning coffee and lunch.

Back at Leigh Park Hotel and Vineyard, we take a short tour of the hotel’s own vineyard, which consists of 600 Reichensteiner vines in the one acre of walled garden within the grounds, which produce a particularly attractive medium dry white wine. After dinner, we enjoy a wine tasting at the hotel.

Wine Tasting Bath

Enjoy a relaxing day at Leigh Park or join our optional excursion to the southern Cotswolds. We experience picture-postcard scenery and villages such as Bourton-on-the-Water, nicknamed 'Little Venice' as it straddles the River Windrush with a procession of ornate bridges and stone embankments.

Visit the beautiful medieval city of Salisbury where there is an abundance of historic buildings to explore, including the majestic cathedral, which boasts Britain’s tallest spire standing at a breathtaking 123 metres.

Our ‘Taste of Wiltshire’ tour then continues to Wadworth Brewery for a tour and tasting of their traditional wares.
