Today we visit three countries – Austria, Italy and Slovenia, on our included excursion. We head first to the Italian market town of Tarvisio, which lies close to the border of Slovenia and Austria. Spend time here before we travel into Austria and reach the town of Villach, in the heart of Carinthia. Villach enjoys a charming setting on the banks of the River Drava and the Old Town centre is regarded as one of Austria’s finest. Here you will have some free time before we head to the Slovenian resort of Kranjska Gora which enjoys a superb location in the Upper Sava Valley, surrounded by the dramatic peaks of the Julian Alps.

Join today's optional excursion to Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. Ljubljana boasts a rich history, characterised by its architecture from the Baroque period. Narrow cobbled streets lie squeezed between the castle slopes and the River Ljubljanica. Sip a morning coffee by the riverbank where your view of the city centre will encompass the old city centre overlooked by the mighty castle. Why not combine your visit with an optional guided walking tour? We take a walk through the elegant Baroque streets and over the picturesque bridges to see the beautiful churches and palaces and enjoy the atmosphere of the squares and riverbanks. The present appearance of Ljubljana is a harmonious blend of Baroque, Secessionist and modern styles, with the added spice of masterpieces by the architect Plecnik. The green oasis of Congress Square bears witness to the momentous past, connecting the new and the old parts of Ljubljana.

Hello the main hotel was excellent the first hotel in Brussels nobody cleared breakfast tables we had to pile it in the centre to make a space to eat when I asked about milk for tea they huffed and puffed the fruit ran out no more the omelette were like rubber. The second hotel in Germany not much food salad no proper dinner no staff no deserts. All the food was empty apperately all the staff were sacked 2 weeks before. Very disappointing. The Hotel in Bled was lovely good food lovely staff. The last hotel was fabulous food expensive but wonderful rooms znd very comfortable. Your staff were good.

Thoroughly enjoyed trip beautiful scenery Lake Bled Hotel Ribno was excellent. Achat hotel Germany awful. Would have liked another day at Lake Bled instead of tour Three Countries it was optional. Salzburg not enough time, needs a day to enjoy. Everyone found last leg of journey from Munich to Belgium Long with just short comfort stops. Overall it was a happy interesting trip in the hands of our safe drivers Chris and Roddy. Highly recommend Lake Bled.

The long journey was very comfortable with regular breaks for toilets and food. Hot drinks were available on the coach at intervals. The overnight hotels were clean but basic. In Regensburg we had to walk in rain to another building for dinner and still had a long delay. The places visited on the holiday were mostly interesting but Tarvisio less so. Scenery in Slovenia was stunning. More time could have been allowed in Ljubljana - we chose to return to the hotel by public bus and enjoyed extra time in this lovely city. Our main hotel in Ribno was very good, clean and comfortable, and meals were nice and staff helpful. However it was in a remote location, with no village centre. The coach crew were very pleasant and efficient, though more information on the places we visited would have been useful. The visit to Salzburg was very enjoyable. My feeder transport was excellent and on time in both directions and the Silver Service tour coach was very comfortable.
