Itinerary

We journey from London St Pancras International to Paris by Eurostar and continue by high-speed train to Munich where we check in to our overnight hotel.
We continue our rail journey today, following a stunning route through the Austrian Alps and across the border into Slovenia. We alight from the train at Lake Bled and are taken by coach to our alpine hotel.

The capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana, is our destination today. Its compact size makes it easy to explore and there are treasures at every turn. With its hilltop castle and riverside location, Ljubljana is even more wonderful when the festive fair and Christmas markets are in full swing. The public squares are alive with music concerts and entertainment. You can warm yourself with a cup of mulled wine or fragrant tea from one of the many stalls.

Today we visit Postojna Cave, a magical underworld. We join a little train that winds through a web of tunnels, passages, galleries and halls filled with stalactites and stalagmites. A festive highlight is the nativity scenes which are brought to life in a unique and exceptional way, with the play of light and harmonious music.

Merry Christmas! A highlight of this special day is our delicious, included lunch taken inside the medieval walls of Bled Castle, where you can enjoy heavenly views from more than 100 metres above the lake.
Return to the hotel. This evening we enjoy a buffet dinner at the hotel.
