Regional departure by coach, then to Holyhead for the ferry to Ireland. We continue to our overnight hotel in the Dublin area.
Includes Dinner
A panoramic tour of Dublin sets the tone this morning. The storied Georgian quarter draws around you – some of the city's most beautiful 18th-century streets and houses, framed by their celebrated colourful doors. Trinity College, the Houses of Parliament, O'Connell Street and the iconic St. Patrick's Cathedral pass alongside, all admired from the comfort of the coach. Free time follows, before we journey north.
After a short tour of Belfast, we step into the Titanic Museum – hailed by its creators as a 'must see', the time taken to build it mirroring that of RMS Titanic herself, and Eric Kuhne's ultra-modern building drawn to resemble the hulls of four ships. We continue to our overnight hotel in the Belfast area.
Includes Breakfast
Includes Dinner
Today, we journey along the scenic Antrim Coast, making our way to the awe-inspiring Giant's Causeway. As legends tell it, this natural wonder was crafted by the giant, Finn McCool, who is believed to have lived on the mountainside. At the interpretation centre, there is an audiovisual presentation that sheds light on the creation of these remarkable 'steps' and the many legends that surround them.
Derry, Northern Ireland's vibrant second city, is our next destination. Having blossomed in both prosperity and peace following a tumultuous past, this compact city stands as one of the most captivating destinations in the British Isles. Unique in its structure, Derry is the sole city in Ireland to be entirely surrounded by walls, each echoing over 1,450 years of history. From the 17-century walls, the city's murals come into view, serving as a reminder of key events within Derry’s more recent history.
We then continue to County Donegal for our overnight stay.
Includes Breakfast
Includes Dinner
Today we step into County Donegal, Ireland's northernmost county. A vast sweep of terrains and dark-hued mountain ranges opens around you – considered by many the most beautiful corner of the country, and often called 'Ireland's Alaska'. Our journey draws onward to the breathtaking Slieve League Cliffs, ranked among Europe's tallest sea cliffs. From the peak, it is a dizzying 609m descent straight into the churning waters of the Atlantic Ocean beneath.
We continue to our overnight stay in the County Mayo area.
Includes Breakfast
Includes Dinner
This morning we step into the captivating Connemara region. Renowned for its lush fields, endless stone walls, quaint thatched cottages and charming fishing ports, it is a truly wonderful corner of County Galway. We draw along the shores of Killary Fjord, the natural border between County Galway and County Mayo, where we set sail on a scenic cruise – soaking in views of the majestic fjord and an unhurried lunch served on board.
Once ashore, our journey leads onward to Galway, where a walking tour brings you into the bustling city, followed by free time for your own discoveries. We continue to our hotel in the Galway area for two nights.
Includes Breakfast
Includes Lunch
Includes Dinner
Today our journey carries you to Inishmore, the largest of the Aran Islands. Home to around 800 people – with Irish predominantly spoken as their first language – Inishmore is rich with historic landmarks, some tracing back to the early Christian era.
A must-visit is Dun Aonghasa, an Iron Age fortification drawn at the edge of a 100-metre-tall cliff. Beyond its historical treasures, the island's untouched beauty, teeming with diverse plant and animal life, is wonderful to explore at your own pace.
Includes Breakfast
Includes Dinner
Today, our journey takes us through the unique terrain of the Burren to the Cliffs of Moher, the most famous cliffs in Ireland! Dramatically plunging into the sea, the cliffs are accompanied by the chorus of countless seabirds and the rhythm of crashing waves. From this iconic vantage point, the Aran Islands come into view, and on clear days, the distant peaks of Connemara are visible.
From here, we venture into County Kerry, checking into our hotel for a three-night stay. The evening includes a traditional Irish show, celebrating the country's music and dance history.
Includes Breakfast
Includes Dinner
Today we wind our way along the Dingle Peninsula, where one of Ireland's most spectacular coastal roads opens above the Atlantic Ocean. We slow at the golden sands of Inch beach, pause in the vibrant fishing port of Dingle, and finish at Slea Head – the western tip of Europe, where the next landfall is America.
Includes Breakfast
Includes Dinner
A signature day of the journey. The Ring of Kerry reveals itself in spectacular turns – the vast Atlantic on one side, lush flora nurtured by the Gulf Stream on the other, the contrast between them as much a part of the magic as the views themselves. We pause in Sneem, once voted Ireland's prettiest village and instantly so – a cluster of vibrant painted houses arranged around a quiet green. The day closes in Kenmare with a traditional sheep dog demonstration, an evocative glimpse of a craft passed down through generations.
Includes Breakfast
Includes Dinner
A morning of gentle nostalgia. We climb aboard a jaunting car – Ireland's traditional horse-drawn carriage – to take in Killarney's beloved sights at an unhurried pace, the way generations before us once did. Later, our journey carries you into Cork, where a panoramic tour brings the city's wonders into view: Saint Fin Barr's Cathedral, the Shandon Bells and Tower, St Anne's Church and the celebrated English Market. We continue to our overnight stay in the Cork area.
Includes Breakfast
Includes Dinner
An unhurried morning to wander Cork at your own pace, before we set out for the Rock of Cashel. Rising sharply from the surrounding plains, this commanding silhouette once watched over the southern land route into Munster – its well-preserved religious remnants now standing as one of Ireland's most evocative ancient sites. Our journey closes for the night in the County Wicklow area.
Includes Breakfast
Includes Dinner
A final day amid the green hills of County Wicklow. We pause at Avoca, the storied filming location of Ballykissangel, and stand upon the Lion Bridge where the rivers Avonmore and Avonbeg meet – the very confluence that inspired poet Tom Moore to write his celebrated The Meeting of the Waters. Onward to Glendalough, a deep, glacial valley whose quiet beauty is matched only by the weight of its early-Christian and archaeological past. Our journey closes for the night in the Dublin area
Includes Breakfast
Includes Dinner
We board the ferry to Holyhead before continuing our return journey home.
