Then, explore Bonn, birthplace of Ludwig van Beethoven, where you’ll have time to enjoy its celebrated market and world-renowned attractions. Finally, we visit Koblenz, home to one of the most popular seasonal celebrations along the Rhine. With so much to see and do, you don't want to miss this very merry holiday!

Make your own way to London St. Pancras International where you will meet your friendly Tour Manager and board the Eurostar to Brussels. From here, we join the connecting train to Cologne.
On arrival, we have a short walk to our hotel and check in for a four-night stay. Dinner is included at the hotel this evening.

After breakfast, our local guide will meet us at our hotel and begin a two-hour walking tour of Cologne, taking in all the main sights.
Cologne’s history traces back more than 2,000 years, when it was founded as a Roman colony. It has since developed into a beautiful cosmopolitan city, and your local guide will ensure you see the best of this wonderful city.
The rest of the day is free for you to explore the many Christmas markets! The hive of festive activity takes place around the cathedral and old town, where you will find a maze of pretty stalls offering outstanding arts and crafts. There are also several smaller markets to enjoy including the Harbour Christmas Markets held on the Rhine, with snowy white pagoda tents reminiscent of a ship’s sails.
This evening is free for you to dine out in one of the many restaurants Cologne has to offer.

This morning, we travel by train to the charming city of Bonn to visit the famous Christmas market. The former capital of the ‘Federal Republic of Germany’, home to Germany’s largest University, and birthplace of the brilliant composer Ludwig van Beethoven, Bonn has attracted visitors from all over the world for hundreds of years. Be sure to see the many famous sights, including the old City Hall and the Münster, the city’s oldest church.
Every year, Bonn's Christmas fair conjures up an amazing festive atmosphere! Here, you can browse the many stalls whilst enjoying Gluhwein, gingerbread, potato pancakes and sausages.
We return to Cologne by train. The evening is yours to dine out in one of the many restaurants nearby.

This morning, we travel by train to Koblenz to visit the Christmas markets. The festive stands spread over several locations in the Old City such as Münzplatz, Am Plan, Josef-Görres-Platz, Jesuitenplatz and Willi-Hörter-Platz. There are over 130 festively decorated wooden stalls offering a range of handmade gifts and Christmas decorations. Enjoy a glass of glühwein whilst listening to festive music playing.
Alternatively, you can explore the city’s quaint lanes and atmospheric squares filled with beautiful old buildings. We return to Cologne by train and enjoy a farewell dinner in a local restaurant this evening.

After breakfast, we retrace our route to Paris for our return journey by Eurostar back to London St. Pancras International.
