Local departure by coach, then on to Dumfries for our four night festive stay.

Today we visit Castle Douglas, known as the 'Food Town' due to the shops and cafes here selling fantastic local produce, then onto Kirkcudbright, known as the 'Artist Town' as its a haven for creative people. We then return via a scenic drive through the Galloway Forest Park.

Merry Christmas! Relax in Dumfries, open some presents, tuck into a traditional turkey dinner, and enjoy the festive atmosphere in the hotel with your fellow travellers.

This morning we visit Moffat, a vibrant, bustling town. Why not visit the Moffat Museum to learn about its history, or simply browse the shops? We then continue to Gretna Green, world-famous for marriages. When the 1754 Marriage Act was introduced in England and Wales forbidding marriage without a parents consent, young lovers would make their way to the first town across the border.
