Local departure by coach or Door-to-Door service, then to Belgium for an overnight stay.
We continue to Italy for a five-night stay at Hotel Liberty, conveniently located in the resort of Male at the foot of Val di Sole.

We enjoy a leisurely start and travel to Mezzocorona and a local wine cantina for a tasting of a couple of the most well-known sparkling wines of the region.
We continue onwards to Trento, the capital of the Trentino region. Here, the Christmas markets are in full swing in the city centre! Trento is home to a picturesque Medieval and Renaissance historical centre, with ancient buildings such as Trento Cathedral and the Castello del Buonconsiglio. Alpine scenery meets imposing medieval structures, charming houses, and fascinating museums. Enjoy a relaxed visit and soak up the festive atmosphere!

Our full day excursion today takes us to Bolzano. This fascinating city is one of the largest wine-growing municipalities in South Tyrol and one of Europe's most important wine producing towns. Bolzano is the capital of South Tyrol and has one of the largest Christmas markets in Italy! The beautifully-decorated central Piazza Walther is in the town’s medieval district and resembles a scene right out of a children’s storybook, with many stalls stacked with glass Christmas tree decorations, handmade arts and crafts, wooden toys, candles and ceramics.

Merry Christmas! Wrap up warm and enjoy the crisp mountain air and time at leisure in the village of Male, and a turkey lunch at the hotel!
After lunch, we take a visit by twilight to Ossana. The famous 'village of the 1000 cribs' is a festive highlight in the Val di Sole valley not to be missed! The path of the 1000 cribs is lit by ancient oil lamps, starting at the San Michele Castle and leading through the streets and alleys of Ossana. The exhibited cribs are all handmade by voluntary organisations, artists, local families, schools and townsmen of the entire Val di Sole valley. The ancient alleyways of the village are filled with such wondrous light and music!

Enjoy a day at leisure in resort or join our optional excursion. First, we visit the idyllic resort of Madonna di Campiglio, set in dense pine forests and towered over by the breathtaking Brenta Dolomites. We continue to the iconic Lake Garda and the resort of Riva del Garda. Later, we include a panoramic boat cruise on the north side of the lake.

Accommodation
You will stay for five nights at the 3-star Liberty Hotel in Male. With its prime location and excellent amenities, this hotel is the perfect choice for a Christmas escape.
Liberty Hotel Malé
Just 100 metres from Malé Station, the Liberty Hotel has a Trentino restaurant, 2 pools and a spa (local charges may be incurred). Wi-Fi and bikes are free, and rooms have classical furnishings and an LCD TV. After a day exploring, guests can relax in the sauna, hot tub or Turkish bath (local charges may be incurred). Massage treatments are also available. Rooms at the Liberty Hotel Malé come with a hairdryer in the private bathroom. A hot and cold buffet is provided for breakfast. The restaurant serves local cuisine, and has themed evenings every week.
