Bordeaux is said to be the capital of the wine industry and is home to the world wine fair called Vinexpo. The town is also famous for its historical buildings. Bordeaux has the highest number of preserved buildings only second to Paris such as the Grand Theatre from the 18th century, Saint- Andrea Cathedral which was consecrated by Pope Urban II in 1096 and Esplanade des Quinconces which is largest square in Europe. Good holiday. Drivers excellent, David was pleasant and a good driver. Damian knowledgeable about the area. Would hope you mended the toilet before the next tour but I bet you didnt. Drop off a bit confusing. Eight of us got on in Preston next to the bus station and were dropped off at the Tickle Trout. We expected the same drop off as the pick up. There was no communication from the driver at all. Four of us, plus driver and luggage was a squeeze. We enjoyed the holiday very much but it wasn't a pretty river and wouldn't go back.
