The Battles for Antwerp
Join us on this unique tour as we look at the crucial battle for Antwerp, taking place in the autumn of 1944. The Allied Armies were still being supplied direct from the beaches of Normandy, now hundreds of miles from the front line, and so the port of Antwerp had to be captured - along with the Walcheren Island which guarded its approach. We visit some of the key battlefield sites, memorials and remarkable museums of the Netherlands.
