After a leisurely morning, we spend the afternoon in the charming town of Valkenburg. Experience the festive excitement of the Christmas market in the Town Cave; the oldest and largest underground Christmas market in Europe. The Gemeentegrot caves were excavated under the town in Roman times and, during the festive season, feature festively-decorated, atmospheric grottos. The ancient galleries come alive with Christmas music, all decorated with lights and overflowing with traditional stalls selling all kinds of festive gifts.
