On this solos coach holiday, we explore some of Germany, Luxembourg and France’s most beautiful sights. From our base in Dillingen, we journey to Trier, Germany’s oldest city and enjoy a guided tour of the major sights. On the third day of our tour, we visit Strasbourg, situated in the Alsace region of France, our city tour will show you all the highlights. Finally, we offer an optional excursion to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, where we spend time in the capital, Luxembourg City, marvel at the stunning architecture before we pay a final visit the wine-growing centre of Grevenmacher.

Itinerary
Please choose your preferred 5 day itinerary
Door-to-door departure, then by coach to Germany and our hotel near Dillingen for four nights.
Enjoy an included excursion to Trier, the oldest city in Germany. On arrival, we will be met by our city guide who will introduce us to the main highlights of the city on our included sightseeing tour, not to mention the many relics and buildings of the Romans. In the afternoon, you are free to discover the city on your own – don’t miss the imperial baths, the Roman Bridge and the Electoral Palace, considered to be one of the most beautiful Rococo palaces in the world.

We include a full-day excursion to Strasbourg, a charming city situated in the Alsace region. On arrival you will discover the highlights of the city during an included city tour. Wander the streets of ‘Petit France’ lined with charming inns and flower-bedecked timbered houses. Afterwards, there will be time at leisure for you to explore independently. Be sure to view the impressive Gothic Cathedral and the numerous bridges crossing the Ill River, which formed part of the seventeenth-century fortifications for the city.

Join our optional excursion to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and its capital, Luxembourg City, which impresses with a true mix of architectural styles. Between the remnants of the past and contemporary architecture, you will explore a town full of contrasts. Later, continue to the small town Grevenmacher, an important wine-growing centre in beautiful surroundings.

You will stay for four nights at the 3-star Hotel Bawelsberger Hof near Dillingen.
Hotel Bawelsberger Hof
The 3-star Hotel Bawelsberger Hof is situated in the heart of Saarland and only 10 minutes away from the central station and 15-20 minutes away from the exhibition centre in Saarbrücken. The hotel has good transport links to the highway and Saarbrücken, Luxembourg Frankfurt Hahn and Saarbrücken Airport are 40-50 minute away. The hotels facilities include bistro/bar, terrace, restaurant, sauna and fitness room. All rooms are equipped with unique antique furniture dating from the period of Louis XV. They are all furnished with one/two large-sized beds, shower or bathtub, mini bar, free W-LAN access and with balcony access for most of the rooms.
