Wander among more than 150 historic farmhouses, mills and workshops, and watch traditional crafts and demonstrations that bring the rural Bavarian everyday to life. After this fascinating journey through history, we return to the hotel.

Enjoy our included excursion exploring the beauty of Passau and its Austrian neighbour, Schärding. Begin with a guided city tour of Passau, the ‘City of Three Rivers’, where the Danube, Inn, and Ilz meet. Admire the magnificent St Stephen’s Cathedral, the Old Town, and Residenzplatz before enjoying some free time to stroll or relax at a café by the river.
We then continue across the border to Schärding, a charming baroque town with its colourful ‘Silberzeile’ houses and cosy squares. After some free time, return to the hotel.

This morning, enjoy an included excursion to the Bavarian Forest National Park. Opened in 1970 as Germany’s first national park and covering an area of 243 square kilometres, its stunning scenery includes forests, moors, crystal-clear mountain streams, and lakes – among them the spectacular Lake Rachelsee, the park’s only glacial lake. During your visit, you’ll have the opportunity to walk through the forest along the park’s splendid treetop walk, offering panoramic vistas over the treetops and the distant Alps.
Afterwards, continue to Weinfurtner Das Glasdorf, the Glass Village, a unique destination where traditional glassmaking, culinary delights, and shopping come together. Watch skilled artisans at work, browse beautiful glass creations, and enjoy a relaxing afternoon surrounded by art and nature.
