Today’s included excursion will introduce you to the three great lakes of Como, Lugano and Maggiore.
Our route takes us along the western shore of Lake Maggiore towards Switzerland, and to the lakeside city of Lugano, magnificently sited between the peaks of San Salvatore and Monte Bre.
Lugano is a very Swiss town with more than just a hint of Italy! Explore the colourful piazzas, terrace cafés and flower-adorned lakeside promenades.
We later continue to Lake Como, visiting the resorts of Menaggio and Tremezzo, where you may wish to visit Villa Carlotta (at additional cost).

Today we enjoy an included excursion to Milan to visit one of the world’s most elegant shopping arcades. Our optional sightseeing tour will introduce you to the Sforza Palace, the marvellous Gothic cathedral, the glittering La Scala Opera House and much, much more.
Stroll through the streets between Corso Buenos Aires and Via Monte Napoleone for a unique shopping experience in the capital of Italian fashion.

Today's optional excursion takes us on a cruise to the famous Borromean Islands which lie at the centre of Lake Maggiore, and are fine examples of natural beauty enhanced by landscaped gardens and parks.
On Isola Bella, you can visit Palazzo Borromeo and its splendid gardens, before we later continue our cruise to its pretty neighbour, Isola Pescatori.

Today, for those passengers who have pre-booked, our optional excursion takes us to Locarno, which is an elegant town situated in the Swiss part of Lake Maggiore.
From here, we join the Centovalli (Hundred Valleys) train to Domodossola. The journey passes through magnificent scenery, and you can admire the narrow valleys and waterfall cascades.
We return by coach from Domodossola.

Today's included excursion takes us to pretty Lake Orta, which is one of Italy’s smallest lakes. Spend time exploring the scenic village of Orta, with its quaint, cobbled streets, rich history, aristocratic houses, courtyards and elaborate palaces.
You may wish to take a short boat trip to the San Giulio Island, dominated by its Romanesque basilica.
