On this fully escorted coach holiday, we visit the vibrant Vianden, where we take a tour of the town’s narrow streets, discovering spectacular sights at every turn. We of course also visit Luxembourg City, where you can see the Petrusse Gorge, to the Grand Ducal Palace, on our guided tour of Luxembourg’s capital. On this holiday, we also offer an optional visit to the oldest city in Germany, Trier, before we head back to Luxembourg and spend time in Echternach, often referred to as ‘Little Switzerland’. All making for an unforgettable holiday.

Local departure by coach, then on to Vianden in Luxembourg for a four-night stay.
Enjoy a morning at leisure in Vianden on the banks of the River Our, with an included walking tour of this pretty town. Explore the narrow streets, churches and Gothic architecture of this historic town, dominated by the Orange Castle. This afternoon, we include wine tasting in Grevenmacher.

Full-day, optional tour to Trier, the oldest and one of the most beautiful cities in Germany. Stroll through the impressive market square or taste some of the exquisite Moselle wines in one of the local inns. On our return to Vianden, we head through the charming region known as ‘Little Switzerland’, making a short stop in Echternach, location of one of the largest Roman Villas in North-East Gaul. Church enthusiasts can feast their eyes on the Benedictine Abbey.

Included excursion to Luxembourg City, capital of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, with an included, guided walking tour. Stroll through the Petrusse Gorge or the old town and see the remains of one of the most imposing fortresses in Europe. There is plenty to discover including Luxembourg Castle, the National Museums of Art and Natural History, and the Grand Ducal Palace. Despite its strategic and financial power the city has a feeling of tranquillity about it with its vast green spaces and city parks whilst the pedestrianised streets make the historical city centre easy to explore on foot. When you fancy a rest, relax in one of the many bars or cafés.
