Merry Christmas! Enjoy a morning at leisure before we head to the nativity show in the Mlacca Gorge, in Mojstrana. Visit the unforgettable world of the Snow Queen and see the statues in the icy kingdom, lit by the flare of torches and lights. Take a walk among the ice clad trees and across footbridges to see a fountain of ice crystal waterfalls where you can watch the theatrical nativity performance. Tonight we enjoy dinner and live music.
After breakfast why not join our optional excursion to Slovenia’s capital, Ljubljana. It may be one of Europe’s smaller capital cities but it is filled with history and ancient sights. Ljubljana, developed by the Romans, is now a blend of Baroque Churches and mansions overlooked by a medieval castle. Spend the day at leisure exploring this fascinating city or take a stroll along the willow-lined walkways along the Ljubljana River. To make the most of your visit why not join our optional guided walking tour? We take a walk through the elegant Baroque streets and over the picturesque bridges to see the beautiful churches and palaces, and enjoy the atmosphere of the squares and riverbanks.

Head north to Valkenburg in Holland for a five-night stay.
Join our included visit to the quaint German town of Monschau. Centred on the banks of a small river and overlooked from opposite hillsides by the ruins of a stone watchtower and an old palace, Monschau is a classically pretty town. Linked by a series of bridges, the town’s restaurants and shops lead up to the town centre where a charming church proudly stands. We return to our hotel and prepare for our evening entertainment.
Happy New Year! Spend a leisurely day in our resort. Explore the town and blow away a few cobwebs.
Included excursion into Germany and to Aachen. The historic Old Town is perfect for visitors to stroll around. Here you can discover the charm of the narrow lanes and historic squares and be inspired by Aachen’s nearly 2000 years of history. Aachen is widely known as the Cathedral City or the City of Fountains, a very special world heritage site. Aachen owes its national recognition as a healing spa city to its more than 30 sulphurous springs.
Our optional excursion takes us to the majestic Rhine Valley. Famous for its picture-postcard villages, fairy tale castles and vineyards, there is no wonder that the area is considered by many to offer the most picturesque scenery in Germany. We visit the quaint Rhineland town of Boppard, which was once a Roman fort. Enjoy time at leisure in this pretty town to explore or amble along the promenade.
