The result is Lumina: the new flagship touring experience from Leger Holidays, and our most considered launch in more than a decade. Everything in it, from the glass overhead to the seat beneath you, was shaped by a single question - what would you build if the only thing that mattered was the journey itself: the comfort, the company, and the view from your window?

Eleven years is a long time to think about a coach
Back in 2015 we launched Luxuria – our business-class equivalent, and the thing that quietly changed how people picture an escorted tour. It set a high bar. High enough that we were in no rush to follow it.
Eleven years on, Lumina goes further still – not by chasing novelty, but by reconsidering every detail until nothing gets in the way of why you came aboard in the first place.
The name is a clue
Lumina means radiance – the presence of natural light – and that idea ended up shaping everything else.
It starts overhead. A panoramic glass roof pulls the light and the landscape straight into the cabin, so the places you pass through don't just slide by the window. They surround you. Look up on a mountain pass and the sky comes with you the whole way. It sounds like a small thing on paper. It isn't.
Why there are only 27 seats
From the outside, Lumina looks like any other touring coach. Step inside and the resemblance ends – because here we made a deliberate choice to take seats out rather than cram more in.
The result is a cabin built for just 27 guests. Never crowded, never a scramble, with the kind of quiet that only comes with smaller numbers and the room to properly settle in. We tucked the servery at the rear, too, so the cabin opens up along its full length and the view stays unbroken from front to back.
The seat you won't want to leave
You'll feel the difference the moment you sink in. Each seat is a proper leather armchair – deep diamond-quilted cushion, a generous recline – not a coach seat dressed up to look like one.
The numbers back up the feeling. Average legroom is 1,043mm: more than Luxuria's 986mm, and a world away from the 737mm you'll be folded into on many short-haul flights. Every seat faces forward in a 2+1 layout, so wherever you land, you've got space that's yours and a view that's entirely your own.
Hosted, not just driven
Here's the part that's hard to put a spec sheet to. You're looked after, not simply transported. Two experienced Hosts take care of you on board and at every stop, so the road is never something you have to think about – only the view from it.
Travelling alongside you is a dedicated Curator, there to add depth to each moment on board as you cross the continent, and on foot as you arrive somewhere new. The small things get handled before you've thought to ask them: your coat hung, your glass topped up, your questions answered. None of it is the sort of thing you'd find on an ordinary tour. All of it is the sort of thing you remember.
Details you feel rather than notice
Good design tends to disappear. Around you, the mood lighting shifts gently as the hours pass – you won't clock it happening, but you'll feel the cabin soften into evening. High-speed, complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi stays with you across borders and through mountain passes, beamed from satellites overhead rather than chasing a signal from the valley floor. And when you'd rather switch off entirely, your personal entertainment system has a hand-picked run of films, TV and games – or you can screencast straight from your own device.
