New Tours for 2018/19
With a new brochure comes new tours! This year, we have 31 exciting tours lined up. Whether you're looking to shake off the post-summer blues or plan your next holiday, our new tour experiences and destinations will leave you spoiled for choice. Here are five of our favorites:
Bavarian Forest Winter Wonderland
Yes, this is probably one you've heard about, but it's finally making its way into our brochure. Our first departure is on January 22, 2018, with 2019 dates available for early bookers. Expect a true winter wonderland experience with mulled wine, winter walks over the world's biggest treetop path in the Bavarian Forest National Park, and a visit to a real igloo village. The highlight? A visit to the husky farm of Dreisessel, where you'll learn about these beautiful dogs and even have the chance to interact with them.
French Grand Prix
For those with a need for speed, the French Grand Prix returns to the Formula 1 calendar in 2018, after a 10-year hiatus. The race will take place at the Circuit Paul Ricard in the south of France. With Ferrari holding the title of most wins, will they continue their dominance, or will Mercedes make its mark? Secure your place on our French Grand Prix by Coach tour.
Oberammergau and the Austrian Tyrol
Oberammergau is on everyone's lips, and with three years to go, our tours are already popular. We've added an extra tour to our 2020 program, heading into the Austrian Tyrol and visiting destinations like Kitzbühel, Salzburg, and Lake Achensee, as well as Cologne and the Rhine Valley. The highlight is the Oberammergau Passion Play, performed every 10 years since 1634.
Château Tilques, St. Omer & the Opal Coast
Dreaming of France? Enjoy a stay in an actual château nestled in the Caps et Marais d'Opale Natural Regional Park. Visit the nearby market town of St. Omer, explore medieval streets, and enjoy gourmet food at the Le Vert Mesnil restaurant. Experience the opulence of the Opal Coast and the playground of wealthy Parisians, Le Touquet.
First & Last Shots
2018 marks a significant year for WW1 history, commemorating 100 years since the end of the Great War. Our tour takes you to Mons, Belgium, where the first and last shots of WW1 were fired by the British. Visit significant sites like the 4th Dragoon Guards Memorial and the George Lawrence Memorial. This battlefield tour offers a poignant journey of remembrance.
