We spend the morning cruising south to Oberwesel, then, after lunch, we travel by coach along the river bank to Rüdesheim. Explore the bustling Drosselgasse. We continue to Koblenz, where we rejoin our cruise ship.
We cruise north to Cologne, where you can explore the delights of the capital of the Rhineland. Relax in one of the cosy bars in the Old Town, spend time around the cathedral and enjoy some of the local delicacies. This afternoon, we head to our overnight hotel in Belgium.
Please note for navigational and passenger safety, the cruise company and the captain reserve the right to modify the cruise itinerary if necessary. Sailing times are dependant on how busy the numerous locks are. At some ports of call, a degree of walking will be involved to join our coach. Due to limited docking facilities, it may be necessary to dock alongside another ship to access the shore.
Prices are per person, based on two sharing a lower deck cabin.
Extras: optional excursions; single cabin supplement from £99; travel insurance from £35.50.
We believe that our holidays may not be suitable for children under 8 years old (except for Disneyland Paris bookings) however, we will
consider individual requests on application. Customers aged 18 and under at the time of travel must be accompanied by an adult, parent or
guardian aged over 18 years old.
You will spend two nights aboard the MS Rhine Princess, which has been exclusively chartered by Leger Holidays.
The ship's onboard facilities are located over four decks and include a large lounge bar with a small dance floor around which daily entertainment takes place. There is also an outside sun deck, ideal for viewing the passing scenery, and a small quiet lounge with a library.
The ship also has a restaurant and shop with small gifts, souveniers, postcards and Rhine river maps for sale.
Cabins are located on three decks and all have twin beds, T.V., telephone and air-conditioning.
Your overnight stay in Belgium will be in a city-style hotel.
We are unable to guarantee that the hotel will be able to meet your dietary requirements. We find that the majority of European countries do not
generally cater for vegetarians and that the meal supplied may well be what everyone else is having minus the meat.
We will of course endeavour to arrange for a vegetarian meal at the hotel. We do however suggest that you advise us of your dietary requests
at the time of booking and recommend that you speak to the receptionist on arrival with regard to your request.
"We found it hard to fault any of our time on board. The food was really good and everywhere was clean. It was as good – if not better – than some of the hotels we’ve stayed in."
