Your Holiday Itinerary

9-Day Break

• Day 1 – Relax during our express overnight journey towards Porec.
• Day 2 – We arrive in Porec in the afternoon and stay for six nights. D
• Day 3 – Porec Sightseeing (optional, included on Silver Service). Our guided walking tour takes in the main sights of the town, including the 6th century Basilica and the old Roman ruins. B,D
• Day 4 – Postojna Caves and Lipica Stud Farm (optional). Today we visit the awe-inspiring caves at Postojna, where we take an underground train through magically-lit halls to view the beautiful formations of stalagmites and stalactites. Then it’s onto the world-famous Lipica Stud Farm to see the white horses associated with the Spanish Riding School in Vienna. The excursion includes entrance to the caves in Postojna, tour of the Stud Farm at Lipica and a presentation at the Classical Riding School at Lipica. B,D
• Day 5 –Brioni Islands (optional). After an exciting boat ride along the Istrian Peninsula’s western coast (where we see Vrsar, Lim and Rovinj), we arrive at the Brioni islands. This group of 14 islands was proclaimed a national park and memorial centre in 1984. A 3-hour visit of the area includes the national park, museum, and archaeological and ethnological collection, with ruins of a Roman settlement. B,D
• Day 6 – Opatija (included). Enjoy a full-day excursion to the Opatija Riviera, this beautiful resort, is often referred to as the ‘Nice of the Adriatic’ on account of its celebrated seaside promenade, the Lungomare. B,D
• Day 7 – Fish Barbeque Cruise (optional). We cruise along the sunny Istrian Coast to a small bay, where we weigh anchor. Enjoy a barbecue on board, which includes an aperitif, a menu of fish specialties and wine. There’s a chance for a dip in the warm blue waters, before our return down the coast. B,D
• Day 8 – We enjoy free time in Porec before our express overnight journey towards Calais. B
• Day 9 – Arrive in Calais then onwards home.
