Morning at leisure in the idyllic resort of Madonna di Campiglio, set in dense pine forests and towered by breath-taking mountains. It is one of the most famous resorts of the Trentino region. Later, join our optional half day excursion to Trento. Regarded as the most attractive town in the Trentino region, Trento is home to the spectacular Piazza del Duomo, once used by the Romans as their forum. The city is rooted in art and history, where the Italian and central European cultures meet. See the Piazza del Duomo or Market Square, where a baroque fountain of Neptune now stands in the middle. Around the square stands the Cathedral, the Law Courts, the Municipal Tower and houses painted with 16th century allegorical frescoes.
Full-day, included excursion to magical Lake Garda. Spend time in the town of Riva, arguably the best known of all the lake’s resorts. The old town is a pretty maze of cobbled streets and squares dominated by the 12th century moated castle.
A full-day, optional tour to Verona, affectionately described as the ‘greatest of Italy’s small cities’. Situated on the banks of the Adige River, Verona provided the setting for Shakespeare’s romantic play ‘Romeo and Juliet’. Explore the great Roman Arena, one of the largest and best-preserved amphitheatres in the world. Alternatively, join the Vironese for a cappuccino in one of the smart cafés huddled around the Piazza Bra and don’t miss the 13th century Tavern, which the locals claim to be Juliet’s House.
Spectacular sightseeing on a grand scale awaits us today, as we traverse the towering Dolomite region along panoramic alpine roads. We pass through Bolzano and begin to climb through stunning mountain scenery. The whole area is dominated by the jagged snow-capped peaks of the Sella Massif and the 10,000-ft Marmolada, a towering mountain known as the ‘Queen of the Dolomites’.
Our included excursion takes us through beautiful castle-clad mountains to the delightful spa-town of Merano. Here you can amble along the streets of the old town and visit some of the many shops which are mainly concentrated in the medieval arcades. The Passeggiata promenade stretches along the Passirio River and is lined with historic buildings such as the Kurhaus. During your visit to Merano be sure to treat yourself and sample some of the pastries in one of the chic coffee shops and search for those last minute souvenirs in the quaint shopping streets.
We believe that our holidays may not be suitable for children under 8 years old (except for Disneyland Paris bookings) however, we will

You will stay for six nights with sole use of your own room at the 4-star Hotel Spinale or its sister hotel, the 4-star Cristal Palace in Madonna di Campiglio. The hotels are situated within a short walking distance of the heart of the resort.
Overnight stays in Belgium will be in city-style hotels.
We are unable to guarantee that the hotel will be able to meet your dietary requirements. We find that the majority of European countries do not
generally cater for vegetarians and that the meal supplied may well be what everyone else is having minus the meat.
We will of course endeavour to arrange for a vegetarian meal at the hotel. We do however suggest that you advise us of your dietary requests
at the time of booking and recommend that you speak to the receptionist on arrival with regard to your request.
