Day 1

Local departure by coach or Door-to-Door service, then to the Paris area for a two-night stay.

On coach holidays of 7 days’ duration or more and Single Traveller coach holidays, you don’t even have to think about getting to your local joining point.

If you live within 20 miles of one of our free joining point, we’ll pick you up from your home and take you to meet your transfer coach, then return you back home at the end of your holiday. On European coach holidays of 7 days' or more, the cost of this is just £30 per booking each way (Up to 4 people per booking).

If you live a little further afield, you can also take advantage of this convenient option for an additional charge

Day 2 - Paris

Included visit to Paris. Why not join our optional, guided sightseeing tour, which takes in the famous sights? For a different view of the city, join our optional River Seine cruise. We return to our hotel late afternoon.

Day 3

Head south through France to Lyon, where we board our CroisiEurope ship for a five-night cruise. We sail through the night.

Day 4 - Avignon to Arles

Our cruise takes us on a remarkable journey of this mighty river. Enjoy lunch as we cruise, arriving in Avignon early afternoon. Join our optional guided tour of the City of Popes, a citadel surrounded by ramparts and perched on a rocky outcrop over the river. The former Papal palace is a major feat of Gothic architecture that dates from the 14th century. We return to our ship for dinner, followed by entertainment. We sail this evening for Arles where we berth overnight.

Avignon

Day 5 - Arles to Port Saint Louis to Matigues

Join our included morning sightseeing drive to the Camargue, a huge plain of seas and marshlands, inhabited by an extraordinary variety of bird life. We will visit the village of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, famous for its interesting fortified church, before we rejoin our ship in Port-Saint-Louis. Enjoy lunch as we spend the afternoon cruising to Martigues (subject to berthing availability), arriving late in the afternoon, free time to explore. Enjoy dinner and an evening of entertainment as we cruise through the night to Avignon.

Day 6 - Avignon to Les Baux-de-Provence to The Ardeche Gorges to Viviers

This morning, enjoy some free time in Avignon or join an optional excursion to Les Baux-de-Provence, one of the prettiest villages in France, set on a rocky outcrop with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. We return to our ship for lunch before departing for Roquemaure or Chateauneuf du Pape. On arrival, head out by coach for our included excursion to the Ardèche Gorges. Enjoy the spectacular scenery as we follow the famous ‘Route des Gorges’. We rejoin our ship late afternoon, cruise to Viviers, and moor overnight.

Day 7 - Viviers to Romans sur Isere to -Tain l'Hermitage

Enjoy breakfast and lunch as we cruise to La Voulte arriving early afternoon. Join our optional excursion to Pont en Royans, famous for its suspended houses, and Romans sur Isère with its 12th century church and international shoe museum housed in a former convent. We rejoin our ship at Tain l’Hermitage or Tournon sur Rhône in time to prepare for our gala dinner and evening of entertainment. We sail through the night towards Lyon.

Day 8

We continue cruising to Lyon, where we disembark, and head by coach to northern France and our overnight hotel.

FAQ's about our tours

Certain excursions are included in the price of your holiday. If you choose not to go on an included excursion, for whatever reason, no refunds will be made.
Yes, you will receive one with your Travel Documents, which are sent 7-10 days before departure.
We believe that our holidays may not be suitable for children under 8 years old (except for Disneyland Paris bookings) however, we will consider individual requests on application. Customers aged 18 and under at the time of travel must be accompanied by an adult, parent or guardian aged over 18 years old.

We do have holidays that are suitable for wheelchair users, however the person using the wheelchair will need to be able to get on and off the coach if a coach tour is booked. Our coaches are not suitable for someone who is wheelchair reliant as we can only take folding wheelchairs that are stored in the luggage compartment.

We cannot guarantee that assistance will be available for the disabled person / wheelchair user and such bookings will only be accepted if that person is travelling with an able-bodied person who is fully able to attend to the needs of his/her co-traveller.

Passengers travelling by Eurostar in standard class seats must be able to walk 200 yards (183 metres) unaided. Please note; only collapsible wheelchairs are permitted on board standard class Eurostar coaches, as these must be stored in the luggage storage areas. Any passengers who are wheelchair reliant are required to be allocated in the 'Standard Premier' coaches where wheelchair user spaces are located. As these spaces are limited to 1 per train you must advise us immediately if you require them in order that we can reserve with Eurostar.

Excursions on our tours visit places of interest and public buildings. These may not be able to accommodate people with walking difficulties and wheelchair access may not be available. Excursions which include sightseeing tours may involve walking long distances and sometimes over cobbled or uneven surfaces.

The accommodation we use on our tours may not have ground floor rooms and in some instances lifts will not always be available. Occasionally access to your hotel may involve walking distances from the coach park and some hotels have a flight of steps to the Reception.

It is very important that checks are made with regard to the suitability of a tour for you prior to you make any booking with us.
