Join our wonderful cruise along the meandering Moselle, from picturesque wine villages to vineyard-clad hillsides overlooked by romantic castles.

    Please note for navigational and passenger safety, the cruise company and the captain reserve the right to modify the cruise itinerary if necessary. Sailing times are dependant on how busy the numerous locks are. At some ports of call, a degree of walking will be involved to join our coach. Due to limited docking facilities, it may be necessary to dock alongside another ship to access the shore.

    Local departure by coach, then to Koblenz to join our cruise ship, the MS Rhine Princess for a four-night cruise.

    We depart from Koblenz and cruise along the winding Moselle to the pretty wine town of Zell, famous for its Schwarze Katz Vineyard. Throughout the village, you'll see the black cat icon appearing on everything from shop signs to tourist trinkets.

    Our cruise today takes us to Cochem, the pearl of the Moselle. The town nestles beneath the Reichsburg fairytale castle. Explore the maze of narrow streets and the river promenade lined with many wine taverns. Why not join us as we visit the pretty, medieval village of Beilstein by coach, with its half-timbered buildings. We continue our cruise to Alken, where we moor overnight.

    We rejoin the Rhine and cruise past Konigswinter and Bonn to reach Cologne, the capital of the Rhineland where you can enjoy free time, shopping or relaxing in one of the many traditional bars, maybe sampling the Kölsch beer. Explore the streets of the city and enjoy the sight of the magnificent cathedral.

    We believe that our holidays may not be suitable for children under 8 years old (except for Disneyland Paris bookings) however, we will consider individual requests on application. Customers aged 18 and under at the time of travel must be accompanied by an adult, parent or guardian aged over 18 years old.

    The 3-star standard cruise ship, the MS Rhine Princess, is a firm favourite with Leger guests. Facilities include a lounge bar with small dance floor, restaurant on the middle deck and a small lounge with library. There is also an outside sundeck, ideal for viewing the passing scenery. All cabins have twin beds, climate control, satellite T.V., radio, hairdryer, en suite facilities and portholes.

    Cabins - All spacious outside cabins have portholes or windows and are equipped with a bathroom with bath or shower, toilet, washbasin and hairdryer. The twin beds can be joined together, and within the spacious wardrobe with dressing table, you will find a safe. Furthermore, all cabins have satellite T.V., radio and direct dial telephone. The heating and air-conditioning are individually adjustable. The cabins on the Rijndek are not accessible by lift.

    Restaurant - The attractive restaurant with large windows is located on the Moezeldek. Each morning, the restaurant serves an extensive buffet breakfast. Start your day with a choice of breads, various cold cuts, cheeses and a range of sweet fillings. Of course, boiled eggs, fried eggs or scrambled eggs with bacon are not lacking. If you prefer a more healthy option; cereals with milk, yogurt, cottage cheese, fresh fruit and tasty juices are also included. The lunches are varied, offering a buffet or a three-course served meal. Dinners on board are prepared with great care and daily-changing varieties. The kitchen team, led by experienced chefs, will serve many variations of menus, a salad or dessert buffet and themed dinners.

    Lounge/Bar - Enjoy time with old or new friends in the main lounge and bar, offering comfortable seating, a dance floor and piano for live entertainment.

    Library - At the front of the promenade deck is the library, where you can enjoy the passing landscape or read a book, newspaper or magazine.

    Activities and Entertainment - Every day you can choose from a wide range of activities. During the day there is a puzzle waiting for you, or you can join the morning gymnastics at the sundeck. In the evening, you will be entertained with cosy dance parties with live music, general knowledge or music quiz, or bingo with prizes. There are also board games and playing cards on board, which can be used freely.

    If you prefer, then you can join the tour at the hotel. To do this, we will require a copy of your passport for identification purposes and you must advise us at the time of booking.

    No reduction will be given if you should choose to do this.

    We are unable to guarantee that the hotel will be able to meet your dietary requirements. We find that the majority of European countries do not generally cater for vegetarians and that the meal supplied may well be what everyone else is having minus the meat.

    We will of course endeavour to arrange for a vegetarian meal at the hotel. We do however suggest that you advise us of your dietary requests at the time of booking and recommend that you speak to the receptionist on arrival with regard to your request.

    Travel in comfort and style

    Departure times given for each region are approximate. Please check your travel documents to confirm the actual timings.

    Front row seats can be reserved for £12pp (up to 6 days duration), £20pp (7 & 8 days duration) and £25pp (9 days duration and over) on all European tours. In addition to this seats on the second row can be reserved for £6pp (up to 6 days duration), £12pp (7 & 8 days duration) and £15pp (9 days duration and over). This offer is only available for bookings of two or four persons on the front row and is subject to availability. Guaranteed front/second row seats cannot be reserved on transfer journeys to/from the U.K. port. Children under 15 years cannot occupy a front row seat due to French Law.

    Please note: On some coaches the legroom on front seats may be slightly less than that available on other seats due to the presence of a modesty board in front.

    If your tour is cancelled for any reason and front/second row seats are not available on your new tour you will be refunded the supplement. No other compensation will be payable.

    Alternatively, we can take seating requests on your booking. However, requests are not guaranteed. All seat numbers are confirmed on travel documents approximately 7-10 days prior to departure.

    We guarantee that all passengers on the same booking will be seated together on the main tour coach. Seats on the transfer coaches to and from the U.K. port are not allocated.
    Hot and cold drinks are served on the main tour coaches. Prices are approximately 90p or 1 Euro per drink. Prices will be confirmed by the driver. Drinks may also be served on the transfer coaches but this is not guaranteed.

    Transfer coaches are routed approximately 2-3 weeks before departure and will depend on where passengers are booked to travel from on any particular date as to which route is taken. If you require further detailed information regarding the route to the port you can contact our Customer Service Department on 01709 830333 two weeks before you are due to travel.

    With regard to the route taken by the main tour coach, this is determined by the driver.

    All main tour coaches have on-board toilets. Transfer coaches to and from the U.K. port may not have on-board toilets. When non-British coaches are used on transfers and tours (air or TGV holidays only) an on-board toilet may not be available. However, comfort stops will be made during long journeys.
    All coaches feature air-conditioning. Should the air-conditioning system break down for a period exceeding 12 hours, compensation will be awarded up to a maximum of £10 per fare-paying passenger per tour.
    We operate a passenger interchange at the Channel port. Transfer coaches, including taxis, minibuses, Megabus and National Express operate to and from the U.K. port. You will join your main tour coach at the port.
    One medium sized suitcase per person, which should weigh no more than 20kg when full. We may refuse to carry larger or heavier cases. Hand luggage can be stored in the overhead racks aboard the coach.
