Enjoy lunch at Restaurant Genuino, located in one of the most scenic areas of Horta with superb views out to the ocean. Enjoy fresh fish and seafood found in the Azores and hear the incredible story of the restaurant. This afternoon, we enjoy an included half-day 'Magic Faial' excursion. We head to Caldeira do Faial, a vast crater of the extinct volcano from which the island originated. This area, surrounded by vegetation, is classified as a nature reserve and is considered one the major attractions in the island. After exploring and admiring this truly unforgettable sight, we head to Parque do Capelo, a beautiful park located in the parish of Capelo featuring many endemic plants and a traditional lava-stone house. The next stop is in the Capelinhos area, where an off-shore volcano erupted in 1957/58, smothering a lighthouse in ash, and which over the years has slowly reappeared.
