Day 1

Fly to Catania, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel in the Syracuse area. After dinner, we suggest a walk through Ortigia, the historical heart of Syracuse. Stroll through Greek temples, baroque churches, hidden gardens and courtyards, ending at the most beautiful square of Sicily.

Day 2 - Syracuse; Agrigento

We enjoy a guided tour of Syracuse’s most important archaeological area, including the Greek theatre, the Roman amphitheatre and the famous Dionysus Ear, then proceed to the House of Tellaro, a rich country residence of the late Roman Empire. Here you can admire the decorations made entirely of mosaic. We continue to Agrigento, where we enjoy a guided visit to the imposing Valley of the Temples. We stay overnight in Agrigento.

Day 3 - Marsala; Trapani; Segesta

Depart for Marsala, built on the ancient site of the Punic city Lilibeo and well known today for the production of Marsala wines. We later drive along the Salt Route, with its picturesque windmills in the Trapani area, where we will make a photo stop, then continue to Segesta, with a visit to the Doric Temple from the 5th century B.C., built by the famous architect of his time, Elimi. We stay for two nights in Palermo.

Day 4 - Palermo

Visit Palermo, the island’s splendid capital. Our included tour with local guide will show you around the most famous sights, including the cathedral, the Palatine Chapel, and the Cathedral of Monreale with its prestigious mosaics, the most impressive and extensive area of Christian medieval mosaics in the world.

Day 5 - Cefalù

Head to Cefalù, to visit the traditional fishing village whose Norman cathedral dominates the skyline, then to Castelbuono, a medieval town with a 14th century church. Continue to the Acireale area for a three-night stay.

Day 6 - Mount Etna; Taormina

A day of wonders on our included excursion to brooding Mount Etna, one of the world‘s largest and most active volcanoes – its lava-walled crater and smouldering potholes are a breathtaking reminder of the power of nature. Afterwards, we visit Taormina, a picturesque town overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Enjoy free time in this charming town with its winding streets, fashionable shops, cosy cafés and tempting restaurants.

Mount Etna


Day 7 - Godfather Tour

Join our fascinating optional excursion built around the classic Godfather film, We head first to a small town set on the hillside of the foothills of the S. Peloritiani. This is where Al Pacino and the cast shot some of the scenes from the film. A ‘must’ is a stop at the famous bar ‘Vitelli’ on the corner of the town, one of Coppola‘s favourite spots, and seen many times throughout the film. From Savoca you will visit Forza d’Agrò which is one of the best examples of a typical village of the Province of Messina and still conserves its medieval street layout. On all sides of the town you have the most incredible views.

Day 8

Transfer to the airport for your return flight home.

FAQ's about our tours

Certain excursions are included in the price of your holiday. If you choose not to go on an included excursion, for whatever reason, no refunds will be made.
Yes, you will receive one with your Travel Documents, which are sent 7-10 days before departure.
We believe that our holidays may not be suitable for children under 8 years old (except for Disneyland Paris bookings) however, we will consider individual requests on application. Customers aged 18 and under at the time of travel must be accompanied by an adult, parent or guardian aged over 18 years old.

We do have holidays that are suitable for wheelchair users, however the person using the wheelchair will need to be able to get on and off the coach if a coach tour is booked. Our coaches are not suitable for someone who is wheelchair reliant as we can only take folding wheelchairs that are stored in the luggage compartment.

We cannot guarantee that assistance will be available for the disabled person / wheelchair user and such bookings will only be accepted if that person is travelling with an able-bodied person who is fully able to attend to the needs of his/her co-traveller.

Passengers travelling by Eurostar in standard class seats must be able to walk 200 yards (183 metres) unaided. Please note; only collapsible wheelchairs are permitted on board standard class Eurostar coaches, as these must be stored in the luggage storage areas. Any passengers who are wheelchair reliant are required to be allocated in the 'Standard Premier' coaches where wheelchair user spaces are located. As these spaces are limited to 1 per train you must advise us immediately if you require them in order that we can reserve with Eurostar.

Excursions on our tours visit places of interest and public buildings. These may not be able to accommodate people with walking difficulties and wheelchair access may not be available. Excursions which include sightseeing tours may involve walking long distances and sometimes over cobbled or uneven surfaces.

The accommodation we use on our tours may not have ground floor rooms and in some instances lifts will not always be available. Occasionally access to your hotel may involve walking distances from the coach park and some hotels have a flight of steps to the Reception.

It is very important that checks are made with regard to the suitability of a tour for you prior to you make any booking with us.

We accept collapsible wheelchairs and we can also accommodate Electric Scooters however they must be easily dismantled by the customer and each component must weigh less than 20kg and the scooter no more than 60kg in total. The scooter must also have a dry cell battery. Please call before booking so we can make sure the tour suits any extra requirements.
