Day 1

Local departure by coach or Door-to-Door service, then travel to the Paris area for an overnight stay.

On coach holidays of 7 days’ duration or more and Single Traveller coach holidays, you don’t even have to think about getting to your local joining point.

If you live within 20 miles of one of our free joining point, we’ll pick you up from your home and take you to meet your transfer coach, then return you back home at the end of your holiday. On European coach holidays of 7 days' or more, the cost of this is just £30 per booking each way (Up to 4 people per booking).

If you live a little further afield, you can also take advantage of this convenient option for an additional charge

Day 2

Continue to Millau, France for an overnight stay.

Day 3 - Avignon

Included visit to Avignon, where you have time for sightseeing in this old, Roman town, famous for its broken bridge. Continue to Toulon, where we board the overnight ferry to Corsica. Accommodation in a two-berth, en suite inside cabin is included.

Day 4 - Corte

We arrive in Bastia in Corsica this morning, then continue by coach to the ancient capital of Corte. The upper town is picturesquely situated atop a hill, dominated by the citadel and a maze of narrow streets lined with houses. We continue to Ajaccio/Porto for a two-night stay.

Day 5 - Ajaccio

Included visit to the beautiful, coastal town of Ajaccio, birthplace of Napoleon. The harbour area is a maze of tiny yellow ochre houses, church bells and domes, whilst the Old Town’s imposing citadel commands views of the leafy boulevards.

Day 6 - Propriano & Bonifacio

Included visit to the charming village of Propriano on the Gulf of Valinco. We then continue to Bonifacio, once a hiding place for pirates, and later board the ferry for the one-hour crossing to Santa Teresa Gallura on Sardinia. Continue to our Sardinia hotel for a five-night stay.

Day 7 - Nuoro, Orgosolo and Lunch with the Shepherds

A wonderful, optional full-day excursion to the Barbagia area, considered the heart of Sardinia, with ancient traditions which survive alongside modern life, evident in the landscape, the architecture and the cuisine. The museum in Nuoro, the capital of the province, has many reminders of the culture of this ancient population. We continue through the vineyards to Oliena, the ‘murales’ of Orgosolo and the famous bandit villages. Later, we enjoy lunch with the shepherds. You will sit down in a semi circle on granite benches covered in oak leaves among the wonderful cork tree woods, accompanied by the pastori shepherds, whose sheep produce the island’s famous peccorini cheese. Lamb and porchetta are roasted on an open fire, followed by local Sardinian bread and home-made red wine. An unforgettable experience.

Day 8 - Costa Smeralda and La Maddalena

We offer an optional tour of the exclusive and beautiful Costa Smeralda, which owes its name to the green emerald-coloured waters. From the harbour town of Palau, we take a ferry to the Maddalena islands. The old town, perched on a hill, is a charming maze of narrow streets and small squares.

Day 9 - Free Time

Enjoy a leisurely day in resort.

Day 10 - Gallura

Today’s optional excursion takes us through the charming landscape of the north-western coast where picturesque granite formations appear out of deep cork oak woods and pastures. The town of Calangianus is the centre of cork production. We continue to the spa-town of Tempio Pausania.

Day 11 - Alghero

Included excursion exploring northern Sardinia with its varied landscape. The attractive coastal town of Alghero is home to a delightful mix of architecture, especially within its charming Old Town. Here, you will find a wonderful selection of bars and restaurants serving fresh fish. The ancient walls still surround the old town centre with alleys and shops where the famous coral is worked and exhibited. If the sea is calm, you will have the opportunity to join an optional boat trip towards the wonderful Neptune’s Cave. We leave Sardinia this evening on the overnght sailing from Olbia to Livorno. Accommodation is in a two-berth, en suite inside cabin.

Day 12

Arrive in Livorno and head to central France for an overnight stay.

Head to the Paris area for an overnight stay.

Return home.

FAQ's about our tours

Certain excursions are included in the price of your holiday. If you choose not to go on an included excursion, for whatever reason, no refunds will be made.
Yes, you will receive one with your Travel Documents, which are sent 7-10 days before departure.
We believe that our holidays may not be suitable for children under 8 years old (except for Disneyland Paris bookings) however, we will consider individual requests on application. Customers aged 18 and under at the time of travel must be accompanied by an adult, parent or guardian aged over 18 years old.

We do have holidays that are suitable for wheelchair users, however the person using the wheelchair will need to be able to get on and off the coach if a coach tour is booked. Our coaches are not suitable for someone who is wheelchair reliant as we can only take folding wheelchairs that are stored in the luggage compartment.

We cannot guarantee that assistance will be available for the disabled person / wheelchair user and such bookings will only be accepted if that person is travelling with an able-bodied person who is fully able to attend to the needs of his/her co-traveller.

Passengers travelling by Eurostar in standard class seats must be able to walk 200 yards (183 metres) unaided. Please note; only collapsible wheelchairs are permitted on board standard class Eurostar coaches, as these must be stored in the luggage storage areas. Any passengers who are wheelchair reliant are required to be allocated in the 'Standard Premier' coaches where wheelchair user spaces are located. As these spaces are limited to 1 per train you must advise us immediately if you require them in order that we can reserve with Eurostar.

Excursions on our tours visit places of interest and public buildings. These may not be able to accommodate people with walking difficulties and wheelchair access may not be available. Excursions which include sightseeing tours may involve walking long distances and sometimes over cobbled or uneven surfaces.

The accommodation we use on our tours may not have ground floor rooms and in some instances lifts will not always be available. Occasionally access to your hotel may involve walking distances from the coach park and some hotels have a flight of steps to the Reception.

It is very important that checks are made with regard to the suitability of a tour for you prior to you make any booking with us.
