Walk the cobblestone streets of Beacon Hill, steeped in history, which contains one of the city’s most beautiful neighbourhoods.

    Depart Montreal for the capital of Canada, Ottawa. This vibrant city of parks and flowers boasts one of the most impressive parliament buildings in the world, guarded by the instantly recognisable ‘Mounties’ – the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. In the afternoon, continue along the 1,000 Islands Parkway to the largest English speaking city in Canada, Toronto, located on the shore of Lake Ontario. Enjoy an orientation tour on arrival. Next, visit Arlington Cemetery and see the lines of white headstones of America’s fallen heroes. The shrine to assassinated President John F Kennedy and his family is a sombre sight, but the view across the city is unforgettable. Spend the remainder of the day exploring some of the many museums comprising the Smithsonian Institute or simply walk the banks of the Potomac River.

    Transfer to Washington Dulles International Airport for the overnight return flight.

    We are unable to guarantee that the hotel will be able to meet your dietary requirements. We find that the majority of European countries do not generally cater for vegetarians and that the meal supplied may well be what everyone else is having minus the meat.
