Day 1

Local departure by coach or Door-to-Door service, then to northern France for an overnight stay.

On coach holidays of 7 days’ duration or more and Single Traveller coach holidays, you don’t even have to think about getting to your local joining point.

If you live within 20 miles of one of our free joining point, we’ll pick you up from your home and take you to meet your transfer coach, then return you back home at the end of your holiday. On European coach holidays of 7 days' or more, the cost of this is just £30 per booking each way (Up to 4 people per booking).

If you live a little further afield, you can also take advantage of this convenient option for an additional charge

Day 2

Continue to the Parma area in Italy for an overnight stay.

Day 3

Drive south to the Sorrento Peninsula for a two-night stay.

Day 4 - Sorrento

Included half-day visit to Sorrento on the Neapolitan Riviera set high on spectacular cliffs.

Day 5 - Cosenza

We travel south into Calabria to Cosenza, where we make a short stop in the historical medieval quarter. See the Byzantine cathedral, or enjoy a typical Italian coffee in the historical literary café ‘Renzelli’. We continue to our hotel in Parghelia in southern Calabria for a six-night stay.

Day 6 - Serra San Bruno

Optional, full-day excursion as we head to Serra San Bruno. On the way we will stop off to admire the Angitola Lake. Serra San Bruno is a charming town situated among woodland, and boasts fine examples of Byzantine architecture and beautiful churches in its historical centre. We later include lunch at a nearby restaurant.

Day 7 - Pizzo and Tropea

Join our included excursion to Pizzo and Tropea, the two most precious jewels on Calabria’s Tyrrhenian coast. Our first stop is Pizzo Calabro, a beautiful and famous fishing village with a historical centre characterised by narrow streets and small squares. You can visit the small church of Piedigrotta, which is excavated in limestone cliffs right above the sea. Make sure you try the famous truffle ice cream, which is highly recommended. In Tropea you will have the opportunity to explore the historical centre, rich in ancient palaces, and the Norman cathedral. You will also see the Church of St. Mary of the Isle which is surrounded by beautiful white sandy beaches with a view above the Aeolian Islands.

Reggio Calabria


Day 8 - Reggio Calabria and Scilla

Included excursion to Reggio Calabria, an elegant city in Liberty style, which belongs to the Italian Art Nouveau period. Take a walk on the seafront promenade which was described by Gabriele D’Annunzio, the famous Italian writer and poet, as ‘the most beautiful kilometre in Italy’. See the Roman baths, the Greek walls and the cathedral. We continue to Scilla, a pretty little town, set in the enchanting scenery of the Costa Viola. Here, you will visit the old fishing village which is known as Chianalea.

Day 9 - Taormina

Today, Sicily awaits on our included excursion. We cross the Straits of Messina to later reach Taormina, a beautiful town that offers wonderful panoramic views. From here it is possible to reach the beaches from the historical centre by a funicular offering a fantastic view over the bay of Taormina. Visit the Greek theatre, one of the most famous monuments in Sicily, and admire the unique bay of Giardini Naxos and the imposing Etna volcano. Later, enjoy a walk along Corso Umberto, with its countless shops, charming restaurants and bars to Piazza IX Aprile, from where you can enjoy a magnificent view, see the street artists, and listen to Sicilian folk music.

Day 10 - Calabrian Countryside

We explore a little more of the Calabrian countryside on our included excursion as we head to Zungri, which boasts a pleasant historical centre. We see the Caves of Zungrì and the Church of Our Lady of the Snow. We later visit a small family farm, which produces local produce such as onion, nduja (typical salami from Calabria), wine, cheese and vegetables. You will have the opportunity to taste and buy some of the produce. En route back to our hotel, we make a short stop at Capo Vaticano, to admire the stunning views.

Day 11

We leave Calabria and head north to our hotel in the Abruzzo area for two nights.

Day 12 - Villages of Abruzzo

Join our optional excursion around this pretty and unspoilt region. We visit some of the typical villages of Abruzzo and soak up the unique atmosphere.

Day 13

We drive north to the Lake Garda area for a two-night stay.

Day 14 - Lake Garda

Enjoy a free day in resort, or join our optional full-day picturesque excursion around the shores of Lake Garda.

FAQ's about our tours

Certain excursions are included in the price of your holiday. If you choose not to go on an included excursion, for whatever reason, no refunds will be made.
Yes, you will receive one with your Travel Documents, which are sent 7-10 days before departure.
We believe that our holidays may not be suitable for children under 8 years old (except for Disneyland Paris bookings) however, we will consider individual requests on application. Customers aged 18 and under at the time of travel must be accompanied by an adult, parent or guardian aged over 18 years old.

We do have holidays that are suitable for wheelchair users, however the person using the wheelchair will need to be able to get on and off the coach if a coach tour is booked. Our coaches are not suitable for someone who is wheelchair reliant as we can only take folding wheelchairs that are stored in the luggage compartment.

We cannot guarantee that assistance will be available for the disabled person / wheelchair user and such bookings will only be accepted if that person is travelling with an able-bodied person who is fully able to attend to the needs of his/her co-traveller.

Passengers travelling by Eurostar in standard class seats must be able to walk 200 yards (183 metres) unaided. Please note; only collapsible wheelchairs are permitted on board standard class Eurostar coaches, as these must be stored in the luggage storage areas. Any passengers who are wheelchair reliant are required to be allocated in the 'Standard Premier' coaches where wheelchair user spaces are located. As these spaces are limited to 1 per train you must advise us immediately if you require them in order that we can reserve with Eurostar.

Excursions on our tours visit places of interest and public buildings. These may not be able to accommodate people with walking difficulties and wheelchair access may not be available. Excursions which include sightseeing tours may involve walking long distances and sometimes over cobbled or uneven surfaces.

The accommodation we use on our tours may not have ground floor rooms and in some instances lifts will not always be available. Occasionally access to your hotel may involve walking distances from the coach park and some hotels have a flight of steps to the Reception.

It is very important that checks are made with regard to the suitability of a tour for you prior to you make any booking with us.
