    We include a full-day excursion to Chamonix. The resort is around 3,500 feet above sea level and sits astride the River Arve, which rises in Mont Blanc’s largest glacier, the Mer de Glace. The great glacier may be visited by taking the mountain railway (at additional cost), a delightfully scenic ride. Also, take the chance to ride the highest cable car system in the world to the top of Mount Midi (12,600 feet) for spectacular Alpine views.

    Free day or join an optional excursion to Geneva. The city has a fine selection of buildings, many parks and gardens, stylish shops, boutiques, cafés and restaurants and is set alongside Lake Geneva, where you can take delightful waterside walks.

    The Alpine extravaganza continues today with an included excursion to Annecy, situated on the lake of the same name. Capital of the Haute Savoie, Annecy is a most beautiful town and is dominated by its castle, which was built over the course of four centuries. As well as a picturesque lakeside promenade, you can wander through the quaint old town, which has arcaded streets criss-crossed by canals.

    We leave Aix-les-Bains and make a brief morning visit to the pretty town of Chambéry, with its castle and ‘Elephants Fountain’, then continue to our overnight hotel in northern France.

    We believe that our holidays may not be suitable for children under 8 years old (except for Disneyland Paris bookings) however, we will consider individual requests on application. Customers aged 18 and under at the time of travel must be accompanied by an adult, parent or guardian aged over 18 years old.

    Tucked away in the heart of the Aravis mountain range in the French Alps and in the centre of the charming Savoyard village of La Clusaz, the 4-star Hotel Beauregard is an ideal holiday destination for those seeking calm, nature and spectacular scenery. For those who want to discover the French Alps region, La Clusaz is an ideal base for exploring Annecy and its famous lake as well as Geneva and Chamonix with its stunning views of Mont Blanc. This wonderful chalet-style hotel has 95 elegantly decorated and recently renovated bedrooms, all of which have private balconies with views of the Aravis Mountains. It is also within easy walking distance of the centre of the village for those who want to stretch their legs. Features include a large garden terrace overlooking the village and mountains, a piano bar, a billiard room and extensive leisure facilities (indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish bath). Large, comfortable armchairs are to be found in the different hotel lounges and around the fireplace, an ideal place to relax with the family for afternoon tea or later on with friends for a drink. Buffet style international breakfasts and seasonal evening meals using local produce are taken at the pleasant La Symphonie restaurant situated within the hotel. A perfect place to unwind for a few days and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. 

    Overnight stays in northern France will be in city-style hotels. 

    If you prefer, then you can join the tour at the hotel. To do this, we will require a copy of your passport for identification purposes and you must advise us at the time of booking.

    No reduction will be given if you should choose to do this.

    We are unable to guarantee that the hotel will be able to meet your dietary requirements. We find that the majority of European countries do not generally cater for vegetarians and that the meal supplied may well be what everyone else is having minus the meat.

    We will of course endeavour to arrange for a vegetarian meal at the hotel. We do however suggest that you advise us of your dietary requests at the time of booking and recommend that you speak to the receptionist on arrival with regard to your request.
