Snowdon Mountain Railway and Floral Treasures of North Wales

Expect spectacular landscapes and glorious gardens on this coach holiday to Wales! Enjoy a journey aboard the Snowdon Mountain Railway as it climbs 1085 metres above sea level to Clogwyn Station, 3/4 distance up Snowdon, and marvel at the breathtaking views this rail ride has to offer. North Wales is also famous for its inclement weather, which results in a unique climate, perfect for plants and flowers. We will discover lush woodland, beautiful gardens and grand terraces at Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens and National Trust's Bodnant Garden. A fantastic holiday for any rail or horticultural lover!

Itinerary

Please choose your preferred 5 day itinerary

Local departure by coach or Door-to-Door service, then travel to Llandudno and our hotel for a four-night stay. After check-in, enjoy a delicious evening meal and relax, or venture into town and wander down the promenade.

We journey into Snowdonia National Park, enjoying the wonderful scenery and joining the Snowdon Mountain Railway.

Trains depart from Llanberis station and cross two viaducts, travelling past majestic waterfalls, through amazing rock-lettered landscapes, and onto Clogwyn Station, which is 3/4 of way to the summit.

We then return via Betws-y-Coed.

Today, we cross onto the Isle of Anglesey where we visit pretty Beaumaris and Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens.

Over the last 30 years, the present owner has been restoring the stunning gardens and grounds, with three different gardens being discovered including the unusual curved walled garden, a secret valley garden and a woodland garden.

You are in for a treat today with a trip to stunning Bodnant Garden, situated above the River Conwy and looking out across the valley towards the Snowdonia range.
