Join our fantastic included excursion to Pompeii, engulfed during the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79AD, where the inhabitants of this small town were literally frozen in time.

To make the most of your visit why not join our optional guided walking tour? In 79AD the eruption of Mount Vesuvius buried the town of Pompeii in about 6/7 metres of stones and ash. Painstaking excavations, which are still ongoing, began in the 18th century and have uncovered a remarkable hidden city.

Accompany your expert guide around the town, walking along roads with indents from the passing of chariot wheels and discovering the remains of homes, shops and public baths. With a little imagination and the explanations of your guide, it is not hard to get a picture of life in the town all those years ago. An experience not to be missed! (Entrance into the ruins is included in the price of the walking tour).
