Spend the day exploring the delights of Vienna. Once the centre of the Habsburg Empire, Vienna boasts a fascinating imperial heritage with many museums and fine buildings. Sample the local delicacies such as coffee and a slice of Sachertorte. Our optional guided tour will show you the principal sights, including the Hofburg Palace, Parliament Building, Opera House, National Theatre and the City Hall and the house where Johann Strauss composed the Blue Danube Waltz. Later we begin our cruise towards Linz.

Today, we spend time in Linz, taking in the sights and sounds of this beautiful city.

We cruise through the wine-producing area of the Wachau to Melk, where you can visit the impressive abbey. We then continue to Bratislava, the Slovakian capital.

We will meet our guide and enjoy an included sightseeing tour of the city, by coach and on foot. See the Fisherman’s Bastion, the Royal Palace, the Parliament Building and St Stephen’s Basilica. Cross the famous Chain Bridge, which spans the Danube. Spend the rest of the day enjoying the delights of the city.

We cruise to Esztergom. After lunch on board, we enjoy our final evening on board ship, as we cruise towards Vienna. Tonight, enjoy the Captain’s Farewell Dinner on board.

Morning arrival in Vienna, where we disembark our cruise ship. Spend time in Vienna, before we continue by coach into Austria to Niederau in the Tyrol for a three-night stay at the 4-star Hotel Sonnschein.
