Local departure by coach or Door-to-Door service then to Belgium for an overnight stay.
Continue south through Germany and into Austria to reach our overnight hotel, in the Salzburg area.
We head toward the Austrian Lake District – the Salzkammergut. We make a stop at Lake Mondsee and the Wolfgangsee. After some free time continue to your hotel in Ossiach in Carinthia, where we stay for seven-nights.
Included excursion, which takes us first to Maria Wörth, which lies on a peninsula jutting out from the southern shore of the Wörthersee. See the two charming churches, which because of their position in the ‘middle’ of the lake, are known as the 'Heart of Lake Wörthersee'.
We include a short cruise on the lake. We then head to the Pyramidenkogel, which at 100 metres, is the highest wooden viewing tower in the world. Enjoy Carinthia’s wonderful mountain and lake landscapes and witness the impressive views towards Italy and Slovenia. We continue to Klagenfurt, where you will discover the beautiful courtyards, monuments and historical buildings - as well as the Lindwurm - the city's landmark during our guided city walk.
During the day, we will also include a visit to a local brewery and enjoy a tasting of the products.
A day of experiences, as we head to Adler Arena, where we enjoy a demonstration of eagles and other birds of prey in flight, amidst the backdrop of Landskron Castle. Be inspired by the beauty and elegance of these incredible birds. After the flight show you have the opportunity to visit the birds of prey park.
We travel to the town of Spital an der Drau. The town is regarded as the gateway to Millstatter See and is home to one of Austria’s finest Renaissance castles, the Schloss Porcia. Spend time on Millstatter See, with an included panoramic boat cruise, before we continue our scenic drive along the Nockalm Road, which is without a doubt one of the most varied and beautiful alpine roads you can experience.
New views open up time and time again, such as of the largest stone pine forest in the Eastern Alps, as well as the round, green summits of the Nockberge and the vast mountain pastures.
We finish the day with a visit to the Kaslab‘n cheese dairy. Enjoy a guided tour and learn the processes involved in cheese production before settling for a delicious cheese tasting!
Today is a day of contrasts, as we visit three different countries! (Austria, Italy and Slovenia). Your first stop will be the Italian market town of Tarvisio for some free time.
You then continue into Slovenia and to Kranjska Gora, a popular winter and summer destination, before you arrive at the lakeside resort of Bled. After some free time in Bled you return over the Wurzenpass to Austria.
We head to the pretty town of Villach, once a great centre of trade, on the banks of the River Drau. Most of the town centre is pedestrianised and you will be able to enjoy a stroll around the Hauptplatz, with its medieval and Renaissance buildings.
In the afternoon we enjoy a scenic drive along the Villach Alpenstrasse, which runs from Villach to Möltschach and up to the Dobratsch Mountain.
Enjoy superb panoramic views of Villach and the Julian Alps.
We leave Carinthia and head towards the Tyrol - on your way you will enjoy one of Austria´s classic experiences, the high mountains and the Grossglockner! We head along the Grossglockner Hochalpenstrasse and up the Grossglockner, which at 3,789 metres, is Austria’s highest mountain.
We view the icy world of the massive Grossglockner Glacier from the magnificently situated Franz-Josefs-Heights panorama viewing. We stay overnight in the Tyrol.
To Belgium for an overnight stay.

If you prefer, then you can join the tour at the hotel. To do this, we will require a copy of your passport for identification purposes and you must advise us at the time of booking.
No reduction will be given if you should choose to do this.
We are unable to guarantee that the hotel will be able to meet your dietary requirements. We find that the majority of European countries do not generally cater for vegetarians and that the meal supplied may well be what everyone else is having minus the meat.
We will of course endeavour to arrange for a vegetarian meal at the hotel. We do however suggest that you advise us of your dietary requests at the time of booking and recommend that you speak to the receptionist on arrival with regard to your request.
Front row seats can be reserved for £15pp (up to 6 days duration), £25pp (7 and 8 days duration), £30pp (9 to 11 days) or £35pp (12 days or more) on all European tours. This offer is only available for bookings of two or four persons on our Executive and Silver Service coaches and for one or two persons on our Luxuria coaches and is subject to availability. In addition to this, seats on the second row can be reserved for a supplement of £8pp (up to 6 days duration), £15pp (7 and 8 days duration), £18pp (9 to 11 days) or £22pp (12 days or more).
Guaranteed front or second row seats cannot be reserved on transfer journeys to/from the UK port. Occasionally, front and second row seats may be on a request only basis.
Please note: children under 15 years of age are not permitted to sit in the front seats of any coach.
On some coaches the legroom on front seats, central view seats and seats directly in front of the washroom may be slightly less than that available on other seats due to the presence of a modesty board in front.
If your tour is cancelled or merged for any reason and front or second row seats or central view seats or table seats are not available on your tour, you will be refunded any supplement paid. No other compensation will be payable.
Alternatively, we can take seating requests on your booking. However, requests are not guaranteed. All seat numbers are confirmed on travel documents approximately 7-10 days prior to departure.
Central View Seats are available to pre-book free of charge.
Table Seats are available to pre-book free of charge on our Luxuria coaches.
Transfer coaches are routed approximately 2-3 weeks before departure. The route taken depends on where paassengers are booked to travel from on any particular date as to which route is taken. If you require further detailed information regarding the route to the port you can contact our Customer Service Department on 01709 830333 two weeks before you are due to travel.
With regard to the route taken by the main tour coach, this is determined by the driver.
