Through working for Leger Holidays I have experienced many tours, including the magic of the Christmas Markets of Cologne, Amiens and Rouen (a climb to the top of Cologne's magnificent cathedral is well worth the effort for the amazing views over the city), and in contrast, the poignancy of WWI and WWII Battlefields. Our experienced Battlefield guides who accompany every Battlefields tour help to bring history alive through their knowledge and enthusiasm.
My love of history, culture and wildlife has taken me across Europe, India, and North and South America. In Europe, Italy and Croatia are among my favourites, with many places I would return to. Travelling slightly further afield, Elvis fans should definitely visit Graceland and Memphis, and for all you lovers of everything 'Grand' I'd love to talk to you about the staggering beauty of North America's Parks and Canyons.
Being a member of CAMRA and developing my skills as Change Ringer, I have explored numerous towns and villages in the UK, and in Ireland I’ve had the honour of ringing at Dublin Cathedral as well as exploring the rugged beauty of the Wild Atlantic Way.
As you can see, the travel bug bit a good few years ago and I'm still adding destinations to my wish list!
I've worked at Leger Holidays for the last 12 years, as part of both the reservations and the groups teams. During this time I've enjoyed many tours in Europe to build on knowledge, including a memorable visit to Austria and the spectacular Zell am See Lake.
I've experienced the overnight travel to Tuscany taking in the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa and exploring Florence by foot, and breathed in the festive atmosphere on a trip to Valkenburg where you can explore the Gemeentegot Roman Caves – not to be missed.
