Christmas in Alsace & Trier for Single Travellers

Spend Christmas with like-minded people, in France’s beautiful Alsace region on a holiday for single travellers. On Christmas Eve, we journey through the spectacular Alsace countryside to reach the city of Strasbourg. In Strasbourg, we partake in a guided tour of the city before we enjoy free time where you can explore the traditional Christmas markets. Relax on Christmas Day before we enjoy a delicious Christmas dinner, accompanied by live music. After an evening full of festive celebrations, enjoy a trip to Trier, Germany, on Boxing Day. Experience a guided tour of Trier’s main highlights, and make sure you see the imperial baths and Electoral Palace. Before we head home, we enjoy wine tasting at a local vineyard, the perfect way to end your festive single traveller holiday.

We head into Germany to Trier on our included excursion. On arrival you will be met by your city guide who will introduce you to the main highlights of the city. In the afternoon, you are free to discover the city on your own – don’t miss the imperial baths, the Roman Bridge and the Electoral Palace, considered to be one of the most beautiful Rococo palaces in the world. In the afternoon, we enjoy a wine tasting at one of the many vineyards.

You will stay for four nights at the Hotel Bawelsberger Hof, Dillingen/Saar, located on the outskirts of town. The hotel provides comfortable rooms with T.V., a restaurant and free wi-fi in public areas. Spanish, regional and international cuisine is served in the hotel’s restaurant, and guests can enjoy German beer, locally produced wines and freshly brewed coffee in the Bistro. The hotel features a sauna and a small fitness room.
